PNew Video Has New York Planned Parenthood Helping Sex Traffickers
A new video in a series of undercover investigations reveal staff at a New York City Planned Parenthood abortion business going further than centers in New Jersey and Virginia in helping alleged sexual traffickers.
While staff at the Planned Parenthood centers in other states offered to arrange abortions or STD testing for the sex traffickers and guided them in how to keep the actions from authorities, staff in New York tell the Undercover "pimp" he can pose as a guardian to get discounts for his underage sex workers. The abortion center staff assure him they will see underage girls as young as 13 who have been victimized by the sex traffickers.
As is the case in the previous videos, the sex ring operator asks specifically about services that include testing for STDs and abortion for underage girls who don't speak English and who are engaged in "sex work." Throughout the footage, Planned Parenthood staff insist that the services and discussions are confidential and private even though such acts should be reported to authorities if the sex traffickers had not been engaged in a sting operation.
When told the girls involved in the sex trade are as young as 13, the Planned Parenthood Supervisor/Practitioner at the Bronx, New York Planned Parenthood tells the man, "We see people as young as 13. Everything is totally confidential."
The staffer offers guidance on how the pimp's underage girls can get insurance through tax payer funded programs to pay for abortions and other services even if the underage girls are not U.S. citizens. Full story at LifeNews.com
House Holds Hearing on Bill Banning Tax-Funding of Abortions
A House subcommittee held a hearing today on a bill that would combine several provisions banning federal taxpayer funding of abortions into one permanent law to ensure future sessions of Congress don't undo the currently temporary provisions.
Sponsored by pro-life Reps. Chris Smith and Dan Lipinski, a Republican and Democrat respectively, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act would compile all of the annual provisions that prevent federal funding of abortions into one piece of legislation.
The measure, which enjoys strong support from pro-life groups makes what are annual battles to stop abortion funding permanent federal law. When it comes to taxpayer funding of abortions from the federal government, pro-life advocates have to fight several battles annually in Congress to ensure abortions are not funded in programs ranging from HHS and USAID to health care and the District of Columbia.
When Congress changes hands from Republicans to Democrats, these provisions are sometimes lifted as in the case of taxpayer funding for abortions in the District of Columbia, which is now currently allowed after years of prohibiting them.
Family Research Council fellow Cathy Ruse, a pro-life attorney, testified before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and said her group favors the bill. Full story at LifeNews.com
Planned Parenthood Exec Blasts Videos He Hasn't Watched
A top Planned Parenthood executive who has been the leading public spokesman responding to a slew of videos showing the abortion business helping sex traffickers admitted today he's not watched the videos he's condemned. The embarrassing moment for Planned Parenthood follows the Tuesday release of new footage of a New York City abortion center going further than centers in New Jersey and Virginia in helping alleged sexual traffickers.
While staff at the Planned Parenthood centers in other states offered to arrange abortions or STD testing for the sex traffickers and guided them in how to keep the actions from authorities, staff in New York tell the Undercover "pimp" he can pose as a guardian to get discounts for his underage sex workers. Pennsylvania Holds Hearing on Abortion Practitioner Gosnell
State regulators in Pennsylvania allowed a doctor to allegedly "operate as a serial killer," without taking action to shut down his abortion facilityuntil it was too late.
That was the conclusion of a state Senator during Tuesday's legislative hearing into the case of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the West Philadelphia abortionist accused of killing one woman and murdering seven babies with scissors.
Members of two Pennsylvania Senate committees expressed shock that state regulators would not be held criminally liable for failing to take action against Gosnell's Women's Medical Society.
A grand jury concluded that state regulators failed in their duty to provide oversight to Gosnell's abortion center, which has been described as a house of horrors. Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams told the Senate panels that the grand jury was upset with representatives of the Departments of Health and State who seemed "more interested in protecting the interest of the departments than the interests of women and young girls." Planned Parenthood to Retrain Staff After Sex Trafficking Scandal
The Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the nation's biggest abortion business, has been forced to announce it will retrain its workers following a scandal that staff at saw six of its centers helping alleged sex traffickers.
Videos from undercover investigations at six Planned Parenthood facilities in three states, so far, have shown Planned Parenthood employees helping sex traffickers obtain abortions for the underage girls they exploit, getting them STD testing, and guiding them in covering up their activities.
Officials at the abortion centers should have shown great concern about the potentially illegal activities and immediately reported them to authorities. Because that was not done, Planned Parenthood said Monday it would retrain thousands of staff people across the country in the proper procedures for dealing with sex traffickers in the future. The abortion business also said it would fire any staffers violating those procedures.
Stuart Schear, vice president for communications of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, told the New York Times the training would include special classes designed to educate staffers with state and local laws in the jurisdiction of the abortion business. The classes would be for any staff who interface with the public and would not involve policy changes but enforcement of what local laws require. Full story at LifeNews.com
Governor Tim Pawlenty Presses Pro-Life Issues in Iowa Speech
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty pressed pro-life issues in a speech in Iowa yesterday that is seen as an outlining of some of the themes he is expected to run on once he announces his expected presidential campaign this Spring.
Pawlenty, who built a pro-life record as governor, said pro-life and family issues are foundational to any government.
"I have strong views about faith and families and matters relating to traditional marriage and being pro-life and other issues," Pawlenty said. "As I discuss those, and I try to influence and persuade other people to join my cause. I try to do it in a way that is thoughtful and civil and respectful."
"I don't want a culture that devalues life or discounts life or shoves life aside," Pawlenty said. "I am proud to say I am pro-life." Full story at LifeNews.com

Act on Planned Parenthood Footage, Ask Congress to Defund It
If you are at all plugged in to the pro-life movement, by now you've heard and probably seen the shocking undercover footage in which a Planned Parenthood clinic manager in Perth Amboy, New Jersey coaches a man and a woman posing as sex traffickers on how to secure secret abortions and other services for their female underage sex slaves.
The footage went viral, with over 387,000 views on YouTube alone. The footage continues to be played on major cable news stations including FOX News, CNN, and MSNBC.
Two days later on Thursday, February 3rd, Lila Rose and her group Live Action released a second video showing a Planned Parenthood worker at an abortion center in Richmond, VA agreeing to help the "pimp" get secret abortions and cheap birth control for his trafficked girls. This video brought even more attention to the original video and discredited Planned Parenthood's argument that the first incident in New Jersey was an isolated event. Full story at LifeNews.com
Mike Pence: Videos Demand De-Funding Planned Parenthood
Congressman Mike Pence today spoke on the floor of the House in reaction to the videos showing Planned Parenthood staffers at six abortion centers in three states essentially show no concern for sexual traffiking. The videos feature workers in Virginia, New York and New Jersey and they assist sex traffickers in securing abortions for the potential victims, getting them tested for STDs and showing the pimps how to cover up their activities. New Hampshire Bill Would Cut Planned Parenthood Tax Funding
In light of a slew of new videos showing officials at local centers of the nation's largest abortion business helping sex traffickers, a New Hampshire legislator has filed a bill to cut off state taxpayer funding. Rep. Robert Willette, a Republican from Milford, says the state should save the $700,000 a year it sends to the Planned Parenthood abortion business for family planning efforts and has filed House Bill 228-FN, which will receive a hearing this afternoon before the Health Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee. Hawaii Bill to Legalize Assisted Suicide Quickly Defeated
No sooner did a bill to make Hawaii the third state to officially legalize assisted suicide receive a hearing than it was tabled in committee, essentially killing the legislation. The measure would have had it join Washington and Oregon to legalize the practice and Montana has began the process of moving in that direction thanks to a state Supreme Court decision. Colorado Woman Given Abortion Drug Instead of Antibiotic
A Colorado woman is severely distraught now that she has realized a Safeway pharmacy accidentally gave her a drug used in abortions instead of an antibiotic she needed. Mareena Silva is six weeks pregnant and she didn't think the drug she would be picking up at her local pharmacy would cause problems for her and her unborn child. The pharmacist gave Silva a drug known as methotrexate that is used to treat cancer patients but is also used in the dangerous RU 486 abortion drug intended to take the lives of unborn children.
