Dear Friends For Life, This week "Children of God For Life" group has asked us to share the following two pieces of information with you. The group are World Leaders of The Campaign for Ethical Vaccines, Medicines and Consumer Products. To date the organization has distributed hundreds of thousands of free brochures on Vaccines From Abortion, Stem Cell Research and Human Cloning across the United States and to over 24 foreign countries. Their current Campaign for Ethical Vaccines has well over 600,000 supporters and they continue to pressure the pharmaceutical industry and government to provide morally acceptable products. "Children of God For Life" is fighting to protect the religious rights of parents, physicians, pharmacists, and missionaries who wish to abstain from using aborted fetal vaccines. 1) Shareholder Resolution filed over PepsiCo use of aborted fetal cell lines
Press release includes links to the full resolution filed with the Security and Exchange Commission - and the heartwarming story of one 12 year old boy who stepped forward to help... Read: www.cogforlife.org/pepsiresolutionpress.htm 2) Biotech firm launches Pro-Life Produced merchandise to support moral research
World renowned Catholic Adult Stem Cell Scientist, Dr Theresa Deisher, has been called "the Sarah Palin of stem cells" - bold, committed and unwavering in her fight to protect human life, she recently made world news as co-plaintiff in the lawsuit to stop federal funding of embryonic stem cell research by the Obama Administration. Dr Deisher was first to discover adult pluripotent stem cells isolated from the heart, which she patented 1n 1998. When the industry tried to pressure her into immoral research, she remained true to her Catholic faith and founded her own organization. (A Thought) If people contemplate and really see the sanctity of life, their "quality of life" arguments fall away and they will understand that we are here to care for each other, not to kill each other. Caring, and not convenience, is the sign of a civilized and just society! --Ron Panzer

(TAKE A MOMENT): "The Only Surviving Album of Auschwitz" - "This is the story of a Hungarian Jewish woman who survived Auschwitz and found a coat belonging to a guard which she took to shield her from the cold immediately after her liberation. In the pocket of this coat she found a photo album. It contained pictures of what went on in this extermination camp. "When you have 5 minutes of peace and quiet in front of your computer, watch it and consider passing it around to people that you know so they can share it and know about it. It is truly moving and important.

ITEM #1: Straight and Worthy Answers on Abortion in A Recent Interview, Well Worth Reading
You write that The Ethics of Abortion: Women's Rights, Human Life, and the Question of Justice "provides reasoned justification for the view that all intentional abortions are morally wrong and that doctors and nurses who object should not be forced to act against their consciences." What right do you, a man, have to make such a case?

ITEM #2: British, Swedes and Dutch Fund Abortion Pill Consortium Targeting Poor Countries
The chemical abortion pill, more formally referred to as medical or medication abortion, has received a major push by international reproductive rights groups particularly in geographic regions where abortion may be legally restricted or otherwise not accessible.

ITEM #3: The next challenge: not too many people, but too few?
If the world follows the demographic habits of Europe -- and that's a big if -- by the year 2200 it could be home to a population of less than half its current level, living in housing built for almost three times that number.

ITEM #4: Death by prenatal screening: how one girl with Down syndrome narrowly escaped
One month ago a precious girl was born in my hospital with Down Syndrome - a rarity these days, since 90% of these children diagnosed before being born end up in a container of biological waste, something that some people regard as a scientific advance, boasting of their determination and perseverance in filtering people based on their risk of suffering some chromosomal defect.

ITEM #5: Brazilian doctors convicted of killing patients by removing organs
A jury convicted three Brazilian doctors of killing four patients by removing their organs, which prosecutors said were used for transplants at an expensive private clinic. Sao Paulo state Judge Marco Montemor sentenced doctors Rui Sacramento, Pedro Torrecillas and Mariano Fiore Junior to 17 years and six months each in prison.

ITEM #6: Renaming Indian Girls, From Unwanted to Beautiful and Good
Many people think that sex selective abortion is only a problem in China where the one-child policy forces couples to limit themselves to one child. Unfortunately sex selective abortion is rampant in other countries that do not have a one-child policy. In places like India where girls are often seen as a burden to the family, the ratio of girls to boys born is appalling. Some places in India are even paying couples to have girls because the excess number of single men is a demographic nightmare.

ITEM #7 RU-486: RH Bill a Threat to Life and Family in the Philippines
People of good will throughout the world should be aware of a great threat to the children and families of the Philippines. Filipinos are overwhelmingly Catholic (81%) and pro-life. Because of this fact, and because they are still having children, they have become a target of international population control organizations and pro-abortion groups. According to the UNFPA, outside organizations based in the United States and Europe have spent $962 million dollars to promote population control in the Philippines from 1991 to 2010.

ITEM #8: Why Malthus was wrong about population growth
Sometime within the next week, the world's population will hit the 7-billion mark. Many commentators find that prospect frightening. William McGurn, writing for the Wall Street Journal, argues that their fears are unfounded. The dire predictions of a "population bomb" that would cause massive famines went unfulfilled, McGurn notes. The fear of a rising population traces its intellectual heritage back to the economic theories of Malthus -- and he was wrong, too. McGurn explains that human beings are not merely consumers, but also producers, so that the birth of another human being -- all other things being equal -- constitutes a net increase in the world's resources.

ITEM #9: 'We never stopped trusting': expecting triplets, couple was advised to make a horrifying choice
What is more heartwarming than the sight of a happy baby? And here there are three! It's impossible to imagine that anyone could ever have wished them harm. Yet, not long ago a doctor who specializes in pregnancy and childbirth had suggested that one of the girls be "sacrificed."

ITEM #10: Slippery slope: 'loneliness,' 'fatigue' now criteria for euthanasia in Netherlands The Royal Dutch Medical Association (KNMG) has released new guidelines for interpreting the 2002 Euthanasia Act that now includes "mental and psychosocial ailments" such as "loss of function, loneliness and loss of autonomy" as acceptable criteria for euthanasia. The guidelines also allow doctors to connect a patient's lack of "social skills, financial resources and a social network" to "unbearable and lasting suffering," opening the door to legal assisted death based on "psychosocial" factors, not terminal illness.

ITEM #11: 'Baby trafficking' scandal just the tip of the IVF/surrogacy iceberg: expert
"Babies are being bought and sold. Women are being exploited. Non-traditional families are being made with no consideration for the children created by these technologies," said Jennifer Lahl.

ITEM #12: Ugandan Model Shows Contraceptives Not the Answer to HIV/AIDS Epidemic
The fatal danger of relentlessly pushing contraceptives on Uganda and other African countries was laid bare recently in an alarming new report showing that the most popular contraceptive in Eastern and Southern Africa may actually double the risk of contracting HIV. After experiencing success in combating HIV/AIDS in Uganda through an anti-contraception initiative, it's not surprising to hear that contraceptives are part of, and not a solution to, the problem.
