Fifth Defendant in Gosnell Abortion Case Pleads Guilty
A fifth defendant has pleaded guilty in the gruesome case involving the botched abortion deaths and the abortion-infanticides of dozens of unborn children that took place at the abortion facility run by Kermit Gosnell.

Gosnell, his wife, and staff members face various charges including eight charges for killing a patient in a botched abortion and killing unborn children in the brutal infanticides that saw him stick medical scissors into the backs of unborn children purposefully induced prematurely so he could snip their spinal cords and take their lives. They also face charges ranging from murder to obstructing justice to practicing medicine without a license.

The grand jury released a 261-page report which said the 69-year-old abortion practitioner and his staff killed hundreds of babies in this manner and killed at least two women and injured many more in failed abortions. Gosnell became known in Philadelphia and the Atlantic region as the guy women should go to if they wanted a late-term abortion illegal in most states.

In a court hearing, 43-year-old Lynda Williams, a former Gosnell staffer, told Common Pleas Judge Benjamin Lerner she understood what she was doing by entering a guilty plea in connection with charges against her. Williams was an unlicensed abortion facility worker at Gosnell s Women s Medical Society and she plead guilty to two counts of third-degree murder and four related crimes. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/fifth-defendant-in-gosnell-abortion-case-pleads-guilty/

Probe Sought Over Sebelius Destroying Planned Parenthood Docs
Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt has asked the Shawnee County Sheriff s Office to launch an investigation into the scandal surrounding the destruction of abortion records during the administration for former Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

The destruction of the records led to a decision by a state judge yesterday to dismiss all 23 felony charges and 26 related misdemeanor charges against Planned Parenthood because the Kansas Health department (KDHE) destroyed the crucial records used as evidence in the case in 2005.

Although 58 of the misdemeanor charges for illegal late-term abortions remain to be prosecuted at a February hearing, Schmidt said late Wednesday that he has asked the Shawnee County sheriff to investigate and asked the county s district attorney to handle any resulting case.

(Schmidt) wants a complete, separate investigation from an outside law enforcement agency, Sheriff Dick Barta said, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal. That s why we were requested to do that.

During the hearing yesterday, District Attorney Steve Howe explained to Judge Stephen Tatum that former Attorney General Steve Six had destroyed the copies of Termination of Pregnancy (TOP) forms obtained through subpoena under former Attorney General Phill Kline. The destruction took place after Kline had filed the charges and while the case was under appeal. Howe indicated that the destruction of the evidence by Six may have violated their own retention policy. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/probe-sought-over-sebelius-destroying-planned-parenthood-docs/

Put Personhood Amendments Aside, Focus on Ending Abortion
With the defeat of the personhood amendment in Mississippi, it s time for the pro-life movement to put aside these amendments and focus on the task at hand: ending abortion and protecting unborn children under law.

The sponsors of the personhood amendments have a great goal define human life starting at fertilization. After all, what pro-life advocate doesn t understand that the scientific beginning of human life is at conception. Anyone who has passed 8th grade biology ought to understand that the coming together of sperm and egg confers into existence a unique human being with all of the DNA necessary to make them who they will be after nine months of growth and development.

However, as a legal strategy for ending abortion, personhood amendments are another matter entirely. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/put-personhood-amendments-aside-focus-on-ending-abortion/

NARAL: Obama Will Win in 2012 if He Promotes Abortion More
President Barack Obama has already crafted a record that easily makes him the most pro-abortion president in the nation s history, but the abortion activist group NARAL says Obama will have a better chance to win re-election if he would promote abortion more.

The pro-abortion group released the results of a new poll yesterday that it claims shows abortion provides an opening for President Obama to create a sharp contrast with anti-choice Republicans. The poll claims to measure attitudes among so-called defectors women voters who strongly supported Obama in 2008 but are not as inclined to support him this time around because of the failing economy. NARAL suggest promoting abortion more will get them on board with the re-election campaign.

This time around, we know that choice [abortion] can provide a way to cut through all of the other data points and all of the other message points that voters are hearing during a tough campaign, NARAL Political Director Elizabeth Shipp said.

NARAL says 40 percent of the women they surveyed said they could never vote for a presidential candidate who is pro-life, even though pro-life presidential candidates have historically had an advantage because of their pro-life positions. The NARAL survey, conducted by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, a Democratic pollster, claims women trust Obama more on abortion than any other issue with them giving Obama a 59-point edge on abortion compared to a 46 point advantage on national security and a 40-point lead on the economy over Republicans. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/naral-obama-will-win-in-2012-if-he-promotes-abortion-more/

Phill Kline: Sebelius Worked to Protect Planned Parenthood
Two Weeks After it is Learned that the Sebelius Administration destroyed key evidence against Planned Parenthood it is learned that four years later a Sebelius appointed official destroyed copies of that evidence. Evidence destruction apparently routine in the Sebelius Administration. As a result, only felony charges ever filed against Planned Parenthood are dismissed.

The news of document destruction in Kansas does not come as a surprise for me. Rather, after a decade of obstruction, the latest indicates that the evidence of Kansas corruption to protect Planned Parenthood is leaking into the media.

Two weeks ago a hearing in a criminal case against Planned Parenthood was delayed. The delay was a result of the administration of current Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius destroying evidence of criminal activity while Sebelius was Governor of Kansas. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/phill-kline-sebelius-worked-to-protect-planned-parenthood/

Planned Parenthood Covers Up Child Rape Like Penn State Did
An institution once held in high esteem by the public has been shamed by revelations that it failed to report sexual abuse against children. Despite knowledge by its officials that sexual predators were victimizing children, they swept it under the rug. Now that the news media has brought this to public attention, the institution is facing well-placed anger and demands for justice. Highly placed officials have been forced out.

The federal government is investigating whether the refusal to report this child sexual abuse violated federal laws that apply because of reporting requirements attached to the large amounts of federal funding. An excellent public image just one week ago has now been justifiably tarnished as people rethink their support for an institution that could effectively facilitate sexual abuse against children.

I m speaking of Penn State. But this should also describe Planned Parenthood. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/planned-parenthood-covers-up-child-rape-like-penn-state-did/

Abortion Clinic Advertises: Removing Fetal Life Support
So far in this tour of abortion clinics we ve seen the clinic in NYC that offers gentle abortions and promises there will be no pain and no memories. No memories of what?

We ve toured the website of a unique sort of place in NYC that isn t even a clinic; it s something else. They do natural abortions with no disturbing suction noise, a five minute procedure from which you will immediately recover. Then there was an offer from the clinic in Orlando that offers a medical abortion at 24 weeks, literally a procedure whereby a six month old viable unborn child can be poisoned and killed in the womb and the mother can go home and deliver the dead baby in privacy so she can say goodbye her own way. And they offer a $50 discount on Sundays.

Next stop Michigan, where women are treated with a more holistic approach, and stress-reducing, therapeutic relaxation techniques in a warm soothing atmosphere are used to treat the whole body. There is soft lighting and relaxing music and aromatherapy to encourage a deeper state of relaxation before, during and after the abortion procedure. This makes them different. Meet NFP, (no not Natural Family Planning) Northland Family Planning. They take a spiritual attitude toward abortion. They believe and they promise. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/abortion-clinic-advertises-removing-fetal-life-support/

Study: Patients in Vegetative State Often Misdiagnosed
A study published today in the British medical journal The Lancet found patients are often misdiagnosed as in a vegetative state when they are not. The study has ramifications for patients like Terri Schiavo who are abandoned by doctors or family members as supposedly too far gone. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/study-patients-in-vegetative-state-often-misdiagnosed/

Ryan Bomberger: The Man Behind the Pro-Life Billboard Campaign
Ryan Bomberger tears up when he recites the lyrics to Meant to Be, a song he wrote as a tribute to his birth mother a woman he s never met. The man behind the controversial pro-life billboard campaign, Too Many Aborted, was conceived in rape. His birth mother was white, and the rapist was black. Despite the circumstances of his conception, his mother allowed him to live. http://www.lifenews.com/2011/11/10/ryan-bomberger-the-man-behind-the-pro-life-billboard-campaign/
