Obama, McCaskill, Funded Group Failing to Report Child Rape
The national debate over abortion today is focused on comments Missouri Rep. Todd Akin made about abortions in cases of rape and incest that many have called insensitive and have prompted calls for him to stem down from the U.S. Senate race.
However, President Barack Obama and Akin s Democratic opponent Claire McCaskill have supported taxpayer funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business which has been repeatedly found to have failed to report suspected cases of sexual abuse and child rape to authorities.
In one case out of Ohio,a fourteen year old girl was impregnated by her twenty-two year old soccer coach, a man that she and her parents trusted. The coach knew that he needed to get this problem taken care of as quietly as possible since the pregnancy was proof of his statutory rape repeated statutory rape, in fact, that began almost a year earlier. He turned to Planned Parenthood. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/obama-mccaskill-funded-group-failing-to-report-child-rape/
Akin s Opposition to Rape Exception Vs. Obama s Infanticide Support
Obama s support of abortion to the point of condoning infanticide could not be clearer. It is grotesque, barbaric, sick and yes, crazy. It is the radical belief of our current president of the United States.
And the press continues to minimize, distort, rationalize, or ignore it, because the press is pro-abortion and likes Obama.
But the press will take a guy who believes babies shouldn t be murdered because their fathers are rapists and call that guy grotesque, barbaric, sick, and crazy. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/akins-opposition-to-rape-excepton-vs-obamas-infanticide-support/
Woman Conceived in Rape Responds to Akin Abortion Controversy
Rebecca Kiessling, a pro-life attorney from Michigan, fully understands the national debate going on concerning the controversial comments Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin made about abortion and rape. Kiessling was conceived when her mother was victimized by a rapist. "It seems to me, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, if it s a legitimate rape, that s really rare. The female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down, Akin said. The punishment ought to be on the rapist, and not in attacking the child.
Kiessling responded to the comments saying that the use of the term legitimate rape was unnecessary and improper and she gave her advice for how pro-life candidates can thoughtfully and articulately address the sensitive subject of rape and abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/woman-conceived-in-rape-responds-to-akin-abortion-controversy/
Abortion Doc Caught Offering Illegal Late-Term Abortions
On August 11, post-abortive pro-life advocate Kelly Clinger wrote an article that included a picture of a woman pregnant with 20 week old twins at the Orlando Women s Center abortion business in Florida. The woman went inside to have her twin babies killed by abortion. Abortionist James Pendergraft owns the Orlando Women s Center as well as four other abortion businesses.
Pendergraft also runs the website, LateTermAbortion.net. This site contains information on how a person can set up a late-term abortion. Pendergraft will agree to commit an abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, only requiring justification from a medical professional. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/abortion-doc-caught-offering-illegal-late-term-abortions/
Wayne Brady Apologizes for Making Fun of Trig Palin s Down Syndrome
A few days ago I wrote an Open Letter to Wayne Brady about his recent comments at Comedy Central s roast of Roseanne Barr. You can read the letter if you d like, but in short, Wayne Brady made a joke that used Trig Palin (and his Down syndrome diagnosis) as the punchline. The joke was met with boo s from the crowd, as well as numerous posts on Wayne Brady s Facebook page by parents posting pictures of their children born with Down syndrome (and expressing their disappointment in Mr. Brady.) http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/wayne-brady-apologizes-for-making-fun-of-trig-palins-down-syndrome/
Pro-Life Groups: Attacks on Akin Hide Obama, McCaskill s Abortion Record
Two leading pro-life groups have chimed in on the debate surrounding Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin s controversial remarks on abortion and rape. They said the response from pro-abortion President Barack Obama and Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill ides their extreme pro-abortion records.
Marjorie Dannenfelser of the Susan B. Anthony List told LifeNews in a statement, Congressman Akin, a longtime pro-life leader, has said he had misspoken, and no one is arguing that rape is anything but a despicable, horrible crime. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/pro-life-groups-attacks-on-akin-hide-obama-mccaskills-abortion-record/
Media Wrong to Tie Romney to Akin, Ignoring Obama s Abortion Extremism
The president of the National Right to Life Committee is upset by the media coverage of the controversy surrounding Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akins comments about abortion, rape and pregnancy.
Carol Tobias, president of the National Right to Life Committee, said the mainstream news media is again busy ginning up stories exploring the outer parameters of the abortion-related policy positions of pro-life Republican candidates, even where this involves remote, theoretical scenarios. She said media outlets are demonstrating a near-total disinterest in putting the spotlight on the outer parameters of the pro-abortion positions embraced by President Obama, even on matters under current legislative consideration. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/media-wrong-to-tie-romney-to-akin-ignoring-obamas-abortion-extremism/
Cardinal Dolan: Sorry if I Created Scandal Inviting Obama to Dinner
Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the president of the U.S Conference of Catholic bishops, has written a new blog in which he says he is sorry if he created any scandal concerning his invitation to pro-abortion President Barack Obama to attend the annual Al Smith Catholic Charities dinner this October. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/cardinal-dolan-sorry-if-i-created-scandal-inviting-obama-to-dinner/

Pro-Life Law Not to Blame for Death of Pregnant Teen From Cancer
On Saturday, CNN reported on the leukemia death of a pregnant teenager in the Dominican Republic, which is being blamed on the Dominican constitution s uncompromising anti-abortion language. Because chemotherapy could have harmed the unnamed girl s unborn baby, doctors delayed the treatment for 20 days after hospitalizing her. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/pro-life-law-not-to-blame-for-death-of-pregnant-teen-from-cancer/
Peter Singer Protégé Julian Savulescu Wants Gattaca a Reality
Rarely is there a film that presents the future with such haunting accuracy as the movie Gattaca. For those who are too young to remember the 90?s science fiction flick that stars Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law, it is a dystopian tale of haves and have-nots. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/20/peter-singer-protege-julian-savulescu-wants-gattaca-a-reality/
