Planned Parenthood Ignored Instruction to Call 911 in Abortion Death
The Planned Parenthood facility that botched an abortion on Tonya Reaves and claimed her life not only failed to call 911, as LifeNews previously reported, but also purposefully ignored instructions to do so.
Operation Rescue has obtained a recording and computer aided dispatch transcript that indicates, on the same day that Tonya Reaves died from hemorrhage caused by a uterine perforation after a second trimester abortion, the Chicago Planned Parenthood that killed her ignored instructions from an emergency dispatcher to directly call 911. Planed Parenthood staff were lectured by emergency personnel to call 911 in the event of an emergency in order to prevent wasting precious time that could adversely affect a patient needing immediate medical attention. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/planned-parenthood-ignored-instruction-to-call-911-in-abortion-death/
Abortion Activist Sandra Fluke to Join Obama on Campaign Trail
Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke, the campaigner for the HHS birth control mandate to force religious groups to pay for and refer women for abortion-causing drug and birth control that violate their consciences, will join President Barack Obama on the campaign trail.
Fluke, the Georgetown University law student who became a controversial national figure during the mandate debate, will introduce Obama at a campaign stop in Denver on Wednesday. The mandate went into effect five days ago and is the subject of dozens of lawsuits from pro-life groups, religious groups, and educational institutions. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/abortion-activist-sandra-fluke-to-join-obama-on-campaign-trail/
Archdiocese Defends Obama Invite to Catholic Charities Dinner
The Archdiocese of New York is responding to criticism from prolife advocates upset that it has invited pro-abortion President Barack Obama to attend the annual Al Smith Catholic Charities dinner this October.
Obama accepted the invitation of Archbishop of New York, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the president of the U.S Conference of Catholic bishops. The Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner is an annual fundraiser for North York Catholic Charities and will be held on the third Thursday of October. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/archdiocese-defends-obama-invite-to-catholic-charities-dinner/
Obamacare Allows Abortion Funding, Doesn t Cover Pregnancies to 26
That the Obamacare law contains no safeguards protecting taxpayers from being forced to fund abortions is very clear and it also contains the HHS mandate forcing religious groups to fund or refer for abortion-causing drugs and birth control.
But a new report in the Washington Post by Michelle Andrews indicates Obamacare covers children up to age 26 but not for pregnancy. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/06/rick-santorum-organizing-gop-convention-event-for-mitt-romney/
Santorum, Rand Paul, More Pro-Lifers to Address GOP Convention
The Republican National Committee today announced the second list of headliners addressing the Republican National Convention August 27-30. The speakers include Rick Santorum, Sen. Rand Paul and more pro-life elected officials.
Additional convention speakers, including the keynote, will be announced in the coming days and weeks. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/santorum-rand-paul-more-pro-lifers-to-address-gop-convention/
Focus on the Family, Right to Life to Register 5 Million Pro-Life Voters
In one of the largest voter registration campaigns of its kind, two leading prolife organizations are working to try to register as many as five million new pro-life voters and to get them to the polls this November.
With some pro-life groups saying the upcoming presidential election could decide the fate of legalized abortion, registering pro-lifer voters to take part in the upcoming election is crucial.

Priest: You Wouldn t Vote for a Terrorist, So Why an Abortion Backer?
Father Frank Pavone, the national director of Priests for Life, has released a new video that may generate controversy so much so that he says he doesn t expect it to ever air on television and probably won t be allowed to stay up on YouTube.
In the video, Pavone compares candidates views on abortion with their views on terrorism. The video includes graphic pictures of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 2001 as well as images of babies who have been victimized by abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/priest-you-wouldnt-vote-for-a-terrorist-so-why-an-abortion-backer/
Mr. President, I Want Better for My Daughters Than Abortion
It seems that every day the effects of the culture of death on our society are more and more obvious, and more and more gruesome. Just take the continued funding of Planned Parenthood with taxpayer dollars. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/mr-president-i-want-better-for-my-daughters-than-abortion/
Rap Artist Slim Thug: Abortion Should be Necessary Sometimes
As an adoptee who was supposed to be killed along with my birth mother, simply to avenge Palestinian family honor, I cringe when I read comments like the one that came across my Google news feed recently from rap artist Slim Thug who told a Houston radio station. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/rap-artist-slim-thug-abortion-should-be-necessary-sometimes/
British NHS May Give Hospitals Money to Procure Organ Donations
Our modern society has commodified the human body so much that I feel sometimes that I am living in a novel by Kazuo Ishiguro. It seems that none of us are safe if someone else thinks that they could use our parts better than we can. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/british-nhs-to-give-hospitals-money-to-pressure-organ-donations/
Obama Admin Abortion Policies Promote Unlimited Consequence-Free Sex
Against what social science tells us about human happiness, the government is promoting sexualityism a commitment to uncommitted, unencumbered, inconsequential sex as the answer. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/obama-admin-abortion-policies-promote-unlimited-consequence-free-sex/
Democrats Disavow Tennessee Senate Nominee Because He s Pro-Life
The state Democratic Party in Tennessee is unhappy that Mark Clayton, an Army veteran and insurance agent, won the nomination to represent Democrats in the November election for the United States Senate. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/democrats-disavow-tennessee-senate-nominee-because-hes-pro-life/
Who Has the Right to Decide When to Withdraw Medical Treatment?
Today, there are two court decisions from two countries both dealing with a similar question, that being, who has the right to decide when to withdraw medical treatment. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/06/who-has-the-right-to-decide-when-to-withdraw-medical-treatment/
Scientists Continue Trend Towards Adult Stem Cell Research
Two recent developments involving the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) again serve to underscore the reality that adult and other non-embryonic avenues of stem cell research are advancing at a far more dramatic pace toward providing actual therapeutic benefits for patients than is human embryonic stem cell research (hESCR)l. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/08/07/scientists-continue-trend-towards-adult-stem-cell-research//
