The invitation to Barack Obama to speak at the New York Archdiocese Al Smith dinner has the potential to dangerously undermine efforts to elect a pro-life United States president. You can be sure the president and his aides will milk that all laughs and smiles photo-op event with the Cardinal and other prominent church and political dignitaries to the absolute maximum.

Obama probably can’t believe his good fortune in getting that invite yet again. It can’t be anything but win-win for him. Fr. Frank Pavone is one of many who has been on the streets in the political battles for years who fully understand this.
