From CMMB: It's World WHAT Day?!?

What a toilet means in the developing world

Today is World Toilet Day

Drawing by a child participant in our Healthy Homes project in Peru

CMMB builds toilets because they are important.

The United Nations estimates that 2.5 billion people do not have access to toilets.  Diarrhea, which is most often caused by a lack of proper sanitation, kills more children than malaria, HIV/AIDS, and measles combined.

Donate today to help us build more toilets.

CMMB's Healthy Homes project teaches participants how to install hand-washing stations in their homes, how to wash their hands, and how to organize their homes in a hygienic manner.  We help qualifying families to pay for and build a home toilet.  As Edita, a Healthy Homes participant in Peru, said, "CMMB gave us back our dignity."

Our community starts with you and goes around the world.

Thank you,
