He is Risen!
In every part of the world, may the joy from the Risen Lord be with each of you this Easter Octave!
My
travels to New Zealand this week and next to spread the Gospel of Life
remind me of how important our Christian duty is. That is, our joyous
acceptance of the salvific message of Easter is meant to be shared as
Christ's desire is "that all might have life and have it more
abundantly." (John 10:10)
It's a transforming message of hope, of mercy, of truth. As you'll find in this week's Spirit & life,
our stories resoundingly aim to inspire and encourage the proliferation
of the Easter message, so important all 365 days a year!
Please
be assured of my prayers for you as you share the joyous message of

Panama - Pro-life leader Julia Regina de Cardenal Sol called on leaders
of Latin American nations to unmask ideologies that underlie and
motivate anti-life and anti-family efforts being made at the level of
multinational organizations like the Organization of American States
(OAS). Mrs. Cardenal, who leads El Salvador affiliate of Human Life
International, exhorted participants to pressure officials to protect
and strengthen traditional marriage and families at this week's
International Conference on Latin American Family Economic Stability and

Joseph Meaney's pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela began this week in honor of HLI's Seminarians for Life.
God's
plans for us seldom coincide perfectly with ours. The Christian would
do well to recall the words of The Lord's Prayer: "Thy Will be done."
Yet His providence leads us perfectly if we make a leap of faith to
follow God's will. Such is the case for my first day on the journey to
Santiago de Compostela which began April 6, 2015. Paris was
the perfect start to my pilgrimage, especially since I will be based
here to carry out HLI mission programs that provide authentic teaching
on life and family, especially for seminarians. - continue -
