| Pilgrims Journey to Guadalupe HLI hits the pilgrim trail once again this week as a group of pro-life pilgrims undertake the annual pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico. There was such a marvelous response to my invitation in January that we immediately filled up the quota of forty pilgrims, and on Sunday we will begin our journey of faith "to the feet of the Virgin," as the Mexicans say. Those who are unable to go with us this year will have ample opportunity in future years, and I promise that it is an experience that will never be forgotten. Those of our readers who cannot join us physically, however, can be with us in spirit this week. In fact I am writing to ask you to send me your special pro-life and individual intentions so that the HLI pilgrims may present them to the Lord through Our Lady this week in Mexico City. The general intentions of our group will be for an end to the twin evils of abortion and contraception as well as the conversion of abortionists and all those who promote the culture of death. Our group will even make a prayerful visit to an abortion mill in Mexico City to bear witness to the truth in that city which has only recently legalized abortion on demand. (Abortion remains illegal in the country of Mexico however.) Please don't hesitate to send your intentions to the e-mail address below - as many as you want! - and let us know what you wish us to pray for. I will present all these needs each day at Mass at the Basilica of Guadalupe and at Mass at the Shrine of Blessed Miguel Pro whose burial place we will visit while there. HLI's Patroness, Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Mother of Life and the evangelizer of the whole world, will hear our prayers and present them to God, the Most High!
