Benedict XVI: The Church says yes to life

Commitment to help families, especially young people who want to establish them, and commitment to the formation of youth are among the issues touched upon by Benedict XVI this morning as he met with the trustees of the City of Rome, the Province of Rome and the Lazio Region.
The Church says yes to life, to the love lived out in the gift of one's self to another, to the love that is open to life. On these issues, as well as on that of the family founded on marriage and respect for life from conception until its natural end, the ecclesial community can not but be faithful to the truth. The Pope has asked for support for Catholic health care facilities that play an important role in alleviating suffering, and for provisions in favor of families, especially large ones. Finally, the Pope expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that exists with the Vicariate and the structures of the diocese.
