Pro-life Americans memorialize January 22 each year as
the anniversary of the tragic Roe v. Wade Supreme Court
decision that imposed abortion on all 50 states.
Today, March 21, could become a similar memorial -- if
the abortion-laden health care bill is imposed on our
nation by the House of Representatives, resulting in
the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.
Sunday is the Lord's day. Yet, abortion advocates in
control of the U.S. House are using today to try and
ram through the bill that would mandate abortion
coverage and government funding of abortion -- directly
violating God's commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."
We -- the 72% of Americans opposed to abortion funding
in health care -- have done everything possible over
this past year, making the abortion mandate the central
issue in the pushback against the attempted $1 TRILLION
government takeover of health care.
We've called our Representatives and Senators -- over
and over ...
We've e-mailed ...
We've attended webcasts ...
We've sent faxes ...
We've spread the word to family and friends ...
We've spoken out at town hall meetings ...
We've written letters to Members of Congress ...
We've signed petitions ...
We've visited Congressional offices ...
We've posted updates on Facebook and Twitter ...
We've attended marches and rallies ...
We've submitted letters to the editor of our local
newspapers ...
... And now, mere hours away from the vote on the
abortion mandate, we need to PRAY. HARD.
As Marjorie Dannenfelser of the Susan B. Anthony List
(a Stop the Abortion Mandate coalition member) said,
"Without prayer, I am 100 percent sure we will lose.
With it, the consciences of wavering members can be
lifted up and emboldened."
Pray for each member of the House of Representatives to
vote principle over partisan politics, and to choose
life over death.
Pray for the handful of pro-life Members of Congress
who are still undecided about their votes. They are
under intense pressure to betray their consciences.
Pray that God grants them wisdom.
And pray that Sunday, March 21, 2010 will not go down
in history as the day that led to the death of millions
more innocent children.
God, help America in our time of need.
