Website to Focus on Abortion Images Citizens for a Pro-life Society announces a new website: imagesofabortion.com, strictly dedicated to photography of unborn children killed by legalized abortion. The purpose of the site is to serve as a resource tool for pro-lifers, as well as an educational tool for the general public—a website that reveals the reality of abortion through actual images of unborn children.
The site is controversial, hard-hitting and disturbing. The over 350 photos depict unborn children killed in suction, dialation and evacuation, prostaglandin and saline abortions. The majority of the unborn children were retrieved from abortion clinic trash dumpsters in Illinois and Michigan, often by members of CPLS—or came from pathology labs at various hospitals in those states and Wisconsin between 1987 and 2010. All of these victims were given humane burials. The unborn babies range in age from 6 weeks to 7 months gestation. Videos of the retrievals, as well as videos of the burials of these aborted babies are also available on the site.
The images shown at imagesofabortion.com are often graphic, but they are also, in many cases, poignant and sadly beautiful as they show the humanity of unborn children who endured acts of violence. In many cases, the photographs are aesthetically spectacular and provide a real historical record of the abortion practice and of legalized abortion in America.
Citizens for a Pro-Life Society believes that the actual reality of abortion-- the use of images--has an vital role to play in the effort of the pro-life movement. Monica Migliorino Miller, director of CPLS states: “I know from my own vast personal experience that photos of aborted babies have converted hearts and indeed saved other babies from abortion. We believe that these photos honor the victims. These are the hidden victims of our national slaughter. We must look at them and the tragedy of their deaths must bore into our hearts--become anchored there and arouse a nation to action! This site is likely to provoke opposition because those who favor abortion will make an effort to discredit the truth exposed by these pictures. But these photos don’t lie.”
The photos found at imagesofabortion.com can be made into large posters for demonstrations, used in videos, printed in brochures and pamphlets, used in school term papers, reports and projects, and research articles. All photos on the site come with a detailed description of the unborn child, gestational age, method of abortion as well as the clinic where the baby was killed.
