Sad News of a Tragic Loss Dear Friends, 
It is with great sadness that we must now tell you that Kortney Blythe Gordon, an amazing young pro-life leader with Students for Life, was killed in a tragic car accident on Saturday evening in Georgia, returning from a pro-life event. To compound the tragedy, Kortney was five month pregnant with her first child, a daughter named Sophy, who also died in the accident. Kortney was a long-time friend of Operation Rescue and today our hearts are heavy from the loss. We ask that you pray for her husband, Benjamin, and the rest of the Blythe and Gordon families as they go through a very difficult process of grieving. Also in the car with Kortney was Student for Life staff member Jon Scharfenberger. He remains in critical condition at a hospital in Georgia. We also ask that you remember him and his family in your prayers.
