Trinity Sunday
Dear Friends,
Christians believe that God is Father, Son, and Spirit, a Trinity of persons. This mystery is not easy to understand, but at least we can say that it reminds us that God the Father is Creator and Lord of the universe; God the Son is the Savior, born of Mary, the Word made flesh, and God is the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.
Trinity Sunday should serve to remind us that God is love – love in its origin (Father), love present among us (the Son incarnate), and love poured out into our hearts (the Spirit given at Pentecost). Surrounded by the love of God, we in turn try to witness to that love and share it with our neighbor, especially the most needy. Is not this what the Catholic Medical Mission Board is all about!

God the Father, we thank You for Your creating power, for You have made all things and made them well. Forgive us if in pride and selfishness we have misused Your gifts.
Lord Jesus Christ the Son, we thank You for Your redeeming power, for You gave Your life as a ransom for many. Forgive us if we have not begun to love You as You have first loved us.
Holy Spirit of God, we thank You for Your guiding power, for Your gifts of wisdom, peace and love. Forgive us if we have tried to live alone and have not welcomed the gifts You offer to us.
Amen
