Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

On January 4, 2013, Planned Parenthood Federation of America released two major documents concerning its operations. Those two documents are: The PPFA 2010-2011 Annual Financial Report covering the period from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 and the PPFA 2011-2012 Annual Report covering the period from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012. NBC show 'Parenthood' uses teen abortion as plot, endorsed by Planned Parenthood

The episode was called "Small Victories," but Parenthood producers might have done better to call it "Small Dead Baby." On Tuesday night, the popular NBC drama about dysfunctional people featured Planned Parenthood's number-one service, abortion, in an episode where a teenage girl finds out she is pregnant and quickly has an abortion. This episode, endorsed by Planned Parenthood itself, was more like a giant advertisement for the abortion provider than it was an entertainment show. What is shameful is that a network TV show would use its prized airtime to create a glorified commercial for teens to have an abortion without parental consent.

Georgia abortionist indicted for Medicaid fraud

As Planned Parenthood announced that it received record government funding in 2012, a Georgia abortionist was indicted for defrauding the state's Medicaid program by illegally billing it for elective abortion procedures. Officials announced that they had arrested Dr. Andre Damian Williams last Wednesday for improperly charging the state $205,003 for treatments related to abortion. The DeKalb County Grand Jury had indicted Williams on December 20. The Georgia Medicaid Fraud Control Unit is now investigating the 62-year-old OB/GYN, who runs DeKalb Gynecology Associates and Legacy Obstetrics, as well as another business.

Battle continues over contraceptive mandate

The Catholic Diocese of Nashville and other dioceses nationwide are continuing their legal battle with the Obama administration over the contraceptive mandate for employers. The Nashville Diocese and seven other area Catholic groups sued over the mandate in September. They say the mandate violates their religious freedom because the church teaches that contraception is immoral. A U.S. district court judge dismissed the lawsuit in November. The groups recently appealed, based on favorable court rulings in other states.
