Obama
Admin Takes Hobby Lobby to Supreme Court to Force it to Obey HHS Mandate
The
Obama administration today filed papers taking the Christian craft store
Hobby Lobby to the Supreme Court to make it comply with the HHS mandate
that compels religious companies to pay for birth control and abortion-causing
drugs for their employees.
In July, a federal court granted
Hobby Lobby a preliminary injunction against the HHS abortion-drug mandate.
The injunction prevented the Obama administration from enforcing the mandate
against the Christian company, but the Obama administration appealed that
ruling today. The governments appeal makes it highly likely that
the Supreme Court will decide the issue in the upcoming term. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/09/19/obama-admin-takes-hobby-lobby-to-supreme-court-to-force-it-to-obey-hhs-mandate/
Pope Francis: Catholic Church Must Minister More to Women After
Abortion
While not compromising the pro-life
teachings of the Catholic Church or watering them down by saying they should
be emphasized any less, Pope Francis said the Catholic Church must do more
to minister to women who have had abortions.
The mainstream media today has
misrepresented the Popes abortion views in a wide-ranging new interview,
suggesting he is saying the Catholic Church should downplay its pro-life
teachings. What Pope Francis did say is that the Catholic Church should simultaneously
speak out against abortion while providing hope and healing for women who
have them and see their lives destroyed by their abortions. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/09/19/pope-francis-catholic-church-must-minister-more-to-women-after-abortion/
Senate
Panel OKs Obama Judge Who Said Abortion Frees Women From Conscription
Into Maternity
The Senate
Judiciary Committee today approved pro-abortion Cornelia Pillard, a law
professor President Barack Obama selected for an appointment to the most
important appeals court in the nation.
Man
Who Shot Up Pro-Life Office Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison
The man who shot up the offices of the Family Research Council on August 15,
2012, saying he wanted to kill conservative right-wing Christians,
was sentenced to 25 years in prison today.
Corkins entered the lobby armed with
a loaded semi-automatic pistol, 100 rounds of ammunition, and 15 Chick-fil-A
sandwiches. He started firing at FRCs building manager Leo Johnson who
heroically tackled the shooter after a gunshot shattered his arm. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/09/19/man-who-shot-up-pro-life-office-sentenced-to-25-years-in-prison/
Pro-Life Business Takes Obamacare to Supreme Court: Tear Down This
Mandate
A
pro-life-run company in Pennsylvania is taking the pro-abortion HHS mandate
to the Supreme Court with a simple request: tear down this mandate.
Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys
representing a Pennsylvania family and its woodworking business asked the
U.S. Supreme Court Thursday to hear its lawsuit against the Obama administrations
abortion pill mandate, which could cost the family nearly $3 million per
month in fines if it doesnt agree to live contrary to its Christian
convictions. It is the first Supreme Court petition in a case challenging
a direct ruling on the mandate. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/09/19/pro-life-business-takes-obamacare-to-supreme-court-tear-down-this-mandate/
Abortion Biz Failing to Report Statutory Rape of 13-Year-Old Hangs
Up on Reporter
Staff
at the Fort Wayne Womens Health Organization abortion facility are
not interested in talking to the media about how the abortion practitioner
there failed to file a timely report on the abortion he did on a 13-year-old
girl who was victimized by statutory rape.
As LifeNews reported yesterday,
Allen County Right to Life, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, filed complaints with
the Indiana Attorney Generals office and the Indiana Medical Licensing
Board over the Fort Wayne abortion doctor failing to properly report an
abortion on a 13-year-old as required by state law. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/09/19/abortion-biz-failing-to-report-statutory-rape-of-13-year-old-hangs-up-on-reporter/
Family Chose Life for Baby Jude Despite Anencephaly Diagnosis
Some
abortion advocates are quick to dehumanize babies with anencephaly, calling
them less than human and saying they should be aborted because their quality
of life is supposedly too low.
But one family in Nebraska disagreed.
Today, people across the Midwestern state and elsewhere are wearing t-shirts
to support baby Jude to remember the brief but inspiring life of Jude James
Aaron Ruskamp. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/09/19/family-chose-life-for-baby-jude-despite-anencephaly-diagnosis/
