Pope condemned abortion in strong terms, saying unborn babies are “unjustly
condemned” when killed in abortions.

the tally of out-of-business abortion businesses to 44 so far this year.

The Republican-led
House of Representatives passed a continuing resolution today to de-fund
the Obamacare health care law that funds abortions and the Planned Parenthood
abortion business with taxpayer dollars while keeping the federal government
open.

on a 230-189 vote. Two Democrats, Matheson (Utah) and McIntyre (N.C.), voted

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing a Pennsylvania family and its woodworking business asked the U.S. Supreme Court Thursday to hear its lawsuit against the Obama administration’s abortion pill mandate, which could cost the family nearly $3 million per month in fines if it doesn’t agree to live contrary to its Christian convictions. the Christian Science Monitor published an op-ed by Elizabeth Jahr, in which
she asserts “pro-life groups funnel tremendous resources into a legal
war against abortion in the US without providing adequate practical support
for women to maintain pregnancies. Yet not being able to afford a child
is one of the main reasons women have abortions.”
In fact, the legal victories

one of the satirists’ songs, “The Old Dope Peddler,” while
reading Amanda Marcotte’s latest musings at Slate. The gag in the former
is how Lehrer contrasts the titular drug dealer’s exploits with wholesome
lyrics and friendly piano accompaniment, as if reminiscing about a Mayberry-esque
community staple like the sheriff, mechanic, or barber.
