From 40 Days For Life: DAY 29: Abortion kills a baby. No publicity stunt will remove that fact

Sacrilegious spectacles like this are the last gasp of a dying industry...and proof that Planned Parenthood understands that no matter what rhetoric you use, abortion kills a baby. No publicity stunt will remove that fact, but prayer can end it.

Abortion is simply unsuccessful unless it ends the life of a baby. Every abortion--at every stage--is barbaric and can never be justified.
That is why those who advocate for abortion appeal to anything in order to justify it...including God.
Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry have been playing the God card a lot in recent years. Planned Parenthood even did a mock 40 Days for Life campaign that included daily prayers for abortion. I wrote about this in The Beginning of the End of Abortion.
Now, the "Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice" is hosting abortion clinic blessing events...to promote abortion and counter the prayers of 40 Days for Life participants!
A Planned Parenthood invitation to an event in Columbus described abortion as "good and godly" and said the blessing is a "celebration of conscience and moral decision making."
Events like this show the abortion industry's true colors. Gone are the days when abortion advocates claimed abortion should be safe, legal and rare.
Instead, Planned Parenthood calls on pastors "to speak boldly in support of comprehensive reproductive health care, especially abortion."
Sacrilegious spectacles like this are the last gasp of a dying industry...and proof that Planned Parenthood understands that no matter what rhetoric you use, abortion kills a baby. No publicity stunt will remove that fact, but prayer can end it.

Columbia, Missouri

While the Columbia 40 Days for Life team held its midpoint rally, two abortion supporters manned the sidewalks with "dream catchers."
"The man told us they were catching our prayers and thoughts," Columbia leader, Kathy, said. "Not sure what they do with them when they catch them..."
Only one client visited Planned Parenthood during the rally, and attendees observed a number of vehicles approach the driveway before ultimately speeding away from the abortion facility.
In typical fashion, the farce backfired. "Planned Parenthood wonders why they are losing customers," Kathy said.

Quito, Ecuador

While the antics of abortion supporters drive abortion clients away, the love and joy of 40 Days for Life vigil participants attracts.
When the team in Quito encountered a woman being pressured by her boyfriend to have an abortion, volunteers connected her with a doctor who will help her through her pregnancy.
A number of passersby moved by the vigil have stopped to pray with campaign participants. Some leave money, which prayer warriors then distribute to the poor in the neighborhood.
Though this is Quito's first vigil, not an hour of vigil coverage has been missed...and one life has been saved!

London, Ontario

The London team was blessed by a visit from Dr. Barry deVeber, one of the founding fathers of Canada's pro-life movement.
Bonnie, who helps lead the London campaign, described how Dr. deVeber fought to keep abortion out of Canada as the push to decriminalize it ramped up in the 1960s, even having former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and his cabinet listen to the sound of a fetal heartbeat.
Bonnie said that during the vigil with Dr. deVeber, a passerby accused 40 Days for Life volunteers, saying "You people are killing innocent women."
It was a bizarre claim, but Bonnie prays that Dr. deVeber's visit will help London pro-lifers remember their legacy of "raising public awareness that abortion is not the answer."

Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgressions of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us; and will subdue our iniquities.
Micah 7:18-19
Hear our prayer of repentance, Lord, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We praise you for your tender mercies and your compassion that never fails. Lord, it is only by Your grace that we can live lives that are just, and merciful.
May Your Holy Spirit enable us to walk humbly in Your presence and may You be pleased to restore our nation so that a generation not yet born may praise you.
