Sacramento, California
"We took your advice. We decided not to go through with it. We are keeping our baby," said the couple as they exited the abortion center.
The mom was nearly five-months pregnant and preparing for a gruesome, two-day, late-term abortion procedure.
"We
gave them information about the loving, life-affirming, free, pregnancy
resources available in our community," said Wynette, who made
Sacramento the first city to join the nationwide 40 Days for Life
campaign back in 2007.
"We showed them the fetal models, conveying the exact size and development of their baby," Wynette continued. "But this change of heart occurred--and this baby's life was saved--simply because someone was here."
The
young couple specifically mentioned being touched by a simple sign
bearing a picture of a newborn baby and the words "Please choose life!"
About two years ago,
the baby in the photograph was saved from abortion by Sacramento's
leader, Susan, in a conversation through a McDonald's drive-through
window. Talk about community outreach!
