San Bernardino and Oakland dioceses host conferences focusing on contraception and NFP, 40 years after Humanae Vitae
Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul VI's controversial 1968 encyclical reiterating Church teaching on artificial contraception, will be the centerpiece of a marriage conference to be held in San Bernardino, April 11-12. Hosted by the San Bernardino diocese and sponsored by the California Association of Natural Family Planning, the conference will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Humanae Vitae and offer formation on the U.S. bishops' 2006 document, "Married Love the Gift of Life," focusing on contraception and Natural Family Planning.
