DEACON FOR LIFE

Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

News from the Trenches

Saturday, March 1, 2008 -- Planned Parenthood, San Diego, 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

"I am going to keep this baby," she said. "My boyfriend is trying to snooker me into having an abortion... but I won't do it."

The young woman sitting on the curb a few feet from Planned Parenthood, and her boyfriend standing next to her, watched intently as 30 prayer warriors -- with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima in the lead -- marched in procession toward the abortion clinic. I smiled in a friendly manner toward them, knowing that I may have to speak with them soon.
