A fatally flawed and fatuous judgment
Some thoughts on a Catholic's endorsement of Barack Obama

Mr. Douglas Kmiec's recent endorsement in Slate magazine of Sen. Barack Obama for president of the United States has, not surprisingly, generated a good deal of anger. (See California Catholic Daily's, "A wide cast of the net," March 26.) What is a noted constitutional scholar, a conservative who served in the Reagan administration, and (what's more) a Catholic doing by publicly endorsing a candidate who has made no bones about his support for abortion on demand and homosexual rights?
