"There are more to these firings than meets the eye."
Bellevue, NE - Abortionist LeRoy Carhart laid off four of his ten abortion clinic workers last week, citing diminished business and lack of financial resources.
The lay-offs came on the same day that Operation Rescue announced that it had been notified by the Nebraska Attorney General's office that an investigation was being launched by the Department of Health in response to the request for an investigation made by four pro-life groups.
"There is more to these firings than meets the eye," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "We are working with Rescue the Heartland behind the scenes now, but hope to make a full announcement very soon."
Operation Rescue will be in Omaha, NE, area this Friday and Saturday to give encouragement to the pro-life community that is ministering at LeRoy Carhart's abortion clinic. Events planned will be peaceful and legal, in spite of the wild rumors that have been seen in the news and on pro-abortion web sites.
There have already been significant victories in Operation Rescue's "Keep it Closed" campaign to prevent Carhart from opening a late-term abortion clinic that would draw women from all over the world.
� Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, (Carhart's target city for his new abortion mill), has pledged not to allow Carhart staff or admitting privileges in response to a petition launched by Operation Rescue.
� Carhart's abortion business is under investigation in response to formal request made to the Nebraska Attorney General's office by four pro-life groups, including the Christian Defense Coalition, Nebraskans United for Life, Rescue the Heartland, and Operation Rescue.
� The same day Operation Rescue announced the investigation, Carhart fired nearly half his staff.
