OB/GYN Doctor Who Espouses Theology of the Body

More Help on the Way

An email sent to mothers in the San Diego area August 13 contained this tidbit:

"Dr. Theresa Stigen is an OB/GYN who has completed a fellowship in
advanced medical and surgical NaPro technology at the Pope Paul VI Institute.
Dr. Stigen will be opening "Mystical Rose Obstetrics and Gynecology " in Fallbrook
on August 17th and will offer surgical as well as medical NaPro technology services to patients. Her email address is
mysticalroseobgyn@gmail.com."

Here is a self description by Dr. Stigers on the One More Soul website:
"I'm a pro-life, NFP-only OB/GYN looking for a practice to join which embraces the Church's teachings on life, love, family and sexuality, especially as embodied in the Theology of the Body. I graduated from residency in June 2008 and am currently training in a fellowship in Medical and Surgical NaProTECHNOLOGY with Dr. Hilgers at the Pope Paul VI Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. I am originally from southern California and will be returning home after completing my fellowship to be near family. I hope to establish a NaProTECHNOLOGY-based OB/GYN practice, offering surgical as well as medical NaProTECHNOLOGY for a wide variety of women's health conditions including infertility, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriage, premenstrual syndrome, preterm labor prevention and postpartum depression."

Dr. Stigen joins two other strongly pro-life physicians in the San Diego area: George Delgado, M.D. who works with Culture of Life Family Services in Escondido, and Karen Saroki, M.D., who works in the Culture of Life offices in the Hillcrest area of San Diego.
