Not yet at least, but if the current legislation to overhaul our health care passes, you will be.
Some Democrats in Congress are trying push through health care legislation that implicitly allows for taxpayer-funded abortions. For the sake of millions of unborn babies, our movement must spread the word about the mortal danger this legislation poses to all children yet to be born.
Here are three important facts you need know about the abortion mandate.*
1) Americans don't support taxpayer-funded abortions. A recent poll in Ohio showed 70% of those surveyed oppose using taxpayer dollars to pay for abortions.
2) If the new health care law does not clearly state that abortion is excluded, abortion automatically becomes a minimum required benefit for all public and some private health care plans. Specific language must be written into the health care bill that excludes taxpayer funds from paying for abortions.
3) Empirical data shows that when abortions are covered by health insurance, there are more abortions.

Time is short. Congress returns from recess next week and we need to let our representatives know that abortion is not health care and Americans will not allow their hard earned tax dollars to fund abortion.
