"The older woman said that it was too late, the process had already begun." Please Pray for this lady and her baby.

28-year Memories

Family Planning Associates -- San Diego, Sept. 5, 2009

When Luis arrived at 7:35 am, the abortion mill was not yet open. As he crossed the parking lot he noticed a Hispanic woman in her early twenties leaning up against a car; a gray-haired woman in her sixties stood next to her. He went up to them and told them about the abortionist's history of negligence and malpractice, giving the young woman the brochure that documents the abortionist's malpractice suits.

The older woman said that it was too late, the process had already begun. Luis's blood ran cold because he knew this meant that this was probably a second trimester abortion. He told them that even if the procedure had begun it could be stopped. She could go to another doctor that would stop the process. He asked the young woman what denomination she was. She said that she did not belong to any. He gave her a rosary, asking her to pray and emphasized she should call Culture of Life Family Services. When we left two hours later, she was still in the clinic so he left a Rachel's Hope post-abortion healing retreat flyer on her windshield.

A small white SUV stopped in the driveway. The young couple in the car was interested in the information about the abortionist. Luis saw a cross hanging from the rear view mirror, so he asked them if they were Christian. They responded that they were Catholic. Luis emphasized that in our religion abortion is a mortal sin, so they should consider this. He spoke to them about adoption, how he and his wife had adopted and how that baby had blessed their lives. He gave them both rosaries. When we left an hour later, they were still in the clinic. The woman's name began with an "M'.

Luis then took the exit, while Terry went to the entrance. A car with a middle-age woman and her 26-year-old daughter stopped in the driveway, and Luis began to pray as Terry spoke with the women in the car. Luis noticed that the middle-age woman began weeping as she spoke with Terry. He looked away and began to pray.

Terry intercepted a car with a young Hispanic couple entering the parking lot. She detailed the gross negligences and license suspensions of the abortionist as well as personal testimonies of young women she had spoken with who had suffered at his hands. The young man became visibly alarmed. She informed them about Culture of Life Family Services. Terry and Luis prayed as they pulled in and noted that they never went into the mill.

A while later a middle-age woman and her daughter drove in (this is the two woman Luis reported on earlier). Terry intercepted them and began to describe the brochure documenting the abortionist's malpractice suits. The mother asked Terry the name of the doctor and when Terry replied Robert Santella, the mother began to become upset (crying and shaking) telling Terry how she had suffered at the hands of Robert Santella 28 years ago (when he was her Ob-Gyn) and that she had "absolute horror stories about him"; describing how, even 28 years ago, the only hospital that would give him privileges was Grossmont. She described some of the problems she suffered at his hands and the lingering medical problems her 28-year-old son has for what she believed was negligence on the part of Robert Santella. Terry asked the mother for her telephone number and gave her own. The mother took Terry's and gave her a phone number.

The mother then told Terry she had called Family Planning Associates asking who the doctor was and they wouldn't tell her. She said, "I never would have come here if I knew he was here". She asked if Terry knew anywhere else they could go today, because they were from L.A. Terry then told them Planned Parenthood is just as bad, explaining what she meant and gave her information on COLFS. The young woman's name begins with a "J" as does her mother's. They asked Terry if it were possible for "J" to be seen by COLFS by or before Monday (even though it was a holiday). Terry assured them, she would have someone call them from COLFS, by or before then.

Right before Terry left the mill she phoned COLFS' crisis line to leave an urgent message re: "J" as well as phoning Dr. Karen Saroki. Dr. Saroki phoned "J" immediately and left a message. A short time later, "J" returned her call. Dr. Saroki encouraged her to come in to see her, today or Sunday, so she could do an ultra-sound, etc.

"J" then told Dr. Saroki she wanted to call her back before meeting with her. Please continue to pray for her "J" and for all the young women we spoke to.

In Christ thru Mary,

Terry and Luis
