(1Ti 2:1-4) I desire therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all men: For kings and for all that are in high station: that we may lead a quiet and a peaceable life in all piety and chastity. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, Who will have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now that the funeral Mass for Senator Edward Kennedy has taken place, including President Barack Obama's eulogy at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Boston's Mission Hill section, ALL asks you to remember the soul of Senator Kennedy in your prayers. We further ask you to pray for Catholic Church leaders whose resolve appears to have weakened as political concerns overtake the nurturing of souls for Christ. What took place in Boston is a scandal that will result in irreparable harm as the faithful continue to be confused about what is and is not truly an
d authentically Catholic. The public exhibition of hubris, which is precisely what the public Mass featuring Obama, was at the very least, an egregious insult to Christ and His Church, not to mention a scandal to the faithful. Please pray for the Church, her leaders and her future in the United States, for as Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger wrote more than 12 years ago:
