"Family Guy" creator to speak at LMU

Seth MacFarlane will speak during First Amendment Week.


The following is a press release from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. A note from a California Catholic staffer: “The show 'Family Guy' is a vulgar parody of American life. Odd that LMU would choose this guy as keynote at First Amendment Week conference."
Seth MacFarlane will share his experiences defending his freedom of speech during this year’s First Amendment Week.

Judaism, abortion, AIDS, the Republican Party – Seth MacFarlane has no boundaries when it comes to poking fun at different groups in his animated comedy series “Family Guy.” As an individual whose work encompasses free speech rights, the 
Loyolan and ASLMU have named MacFarlane the keynote speaker of First Amendment Week in February.
