DEACON FOR LIFE

Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

CASTING A VOTE WITH CHRIST AT YOUR SIDE

St. Paul, in his Second Letter to Timothy, writes, "The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends. But you must keep control of yourself in all circumstances." (2 Timothy 4:3-5) Across our nation, today is voting day-a day to do something proactive and take a pro-life stand, a day to speak for preborn babies and for life. Judie Brown explains why voters should always follow Catholic teaching-not necessarily Catholic politicians.
