Defund Planned Parenthood now: Planned Parenthood attacking legislators who voted to defund

Planned Parenthood is running outrageously deceptive ads in seven congressional districts, directly attacking by name legislators who voted to defund the abortion giant.

In a far-fetched attempt to portray itself as a facilitator of child birth, the ad features "Courtney," who says without Planned Parenthood she could not afford treatment for her endometriosis, and would not have been able to give birth to her son, attempting to emphasize PP's implied irreplaceable role in treating infertility.

In reality, infertility treatment is such a miniscule part of Planned Parenthood's business that it did not even report those numbers in its most recent service figures. In 2008, it reported 168 infertility-related services out of 9,967,749 total "services." So .001% of Planned Parenthood's "services," as it reported them in 2008, were dedicated to treating infertility, yet Planned Parenthood showcases this .001% to lay claim to almost a million dollars per day in government funding. In 2008, Planned Parenthood committed 1,929 abortions for every fertility treatment it undertook. Forty percent of its clinic income is derived from abortion. Abortion, in turn, can cause infertility.

The Planned Parenthood radio ads call upon listeners to contact targeted members of Congress and ask them why they "voted to cut the breast exams, Pap tests, and birth control" that women in their respective states count on.

Here are links to the ads along with the names of the members of Congress being attacked by Planned Parenthood:

· PPAF Radio Ad - Congressmen Joe Walsh and Randy Hultgren (IL)
· PPAF Radio Ad - Congressman Allen West (FL)
· PPAF Radio Ad - Congressmen Pat Meehan and Mike Fitzpatrick (PA)
· PPAF Radio Ad - Congressman Frank Guinta (NH)
· PPAF Radio Ad - Congressman Mark Critz (PA)
· PPAF Radio Ad Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle (NY)

Please contact them, particularly if you live in one of their districts, and tell them how much you appreciate their vote to defund the abortion giant. You can find contact information for the members of Congress here.

Planned Parenthood policing California school districts for compliance with state sex ed law

"The issue really is about compliance with the law. It's not about (Planned Parenthood's) values." So says a California Planned Parenthood official speaking of the recent audit led by the abortion giant itself, investigating high schools in 22 California districts and 3 counties regarding their compliance with the sex education law.

You read correctly: Planned Parenthood is policing school districts to determine whether they are in compliance with California's "comprehensive" sex education law.

A Santa Barbara Noozhawk article reports:

In the audit, districts were graded on education code requirements such as not promoting religious doctrine (emphasis added) and whether they provided students with skills for responsible decision-making. All of the schools evaluated did well in both of those categories, but fell short on others, such as teaching methods to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. None of the districts fully complied on teaching the safety and effectiveness of FDA-approved contraceptives.

The article goes on to say that since no textbook in use complies with the education code on sex education, "[o]ther supplemental material would have to be used, and obtaining those materials has been an ongoing process for Planned Parenthood."

In a similar audit several years ago, Planned Parenthood went even further, auditing school board policies as well as curriculum.

And how does Planned Parenthood become the auditor of schools?

"A group of Planned Parenthood staff and volunteers reached out to the schools, beginning a time-consuming process of getting the materials from the various districts," the article says.

Planned Parenthood is purportedly "working to get on the agenda of a meeting of superintendents from Santa Barbara County. Continuing the conversation, in front of school boards and with parents, is a goal," said the Planned Parenthood representative.

School districts in California are not mandated to teach sex education, but if they do they are required to follow the "comprehensive" sex education law. We expect to see many parents throughout California organizing and very persistently insisting that their school districts abandon this sex indoctrination that is being put together by Planned Parenthood.

Parents, beware! Planned Parenthood often operates in stealth mode as these "comprehensive" sex education curricula are being put together and pushed by its cohorts, then appears on the scene as the expert to police the program and put its materials in place.

The article at hand quotes Nancy Harter, a former school board member who works on the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, complaining that what happens in the classroom is often disconnected from school board policy.

Our STOPP website devotes a full section to getting and keeping Planned Parenthood out of your schools. We also provide expert speakers who are ready to come to your community to help organize your resistance to Planned Parenthood and its "comprehensive" sex instruction. The Pill Kills Marriages: American Life League calls for nationwide protest of the pill

It was Planned Parenthood's foundress-to-be, radical feminist Margaret Sanger, who conceived the idea of a "magic pill" contraceptive in 1912. It was Sanger who obtained extensive financing for hormonal contraceptive research. And it was a Planned Parenthood lawsuit, Griswold vs. Connecticut, that led to the Supreme Court's decriminalization of the use of contraceptives, on June 7, 1965.

Planned Parenthood has since built a billion dollar empire around its contraceptive and abortion business.

You are invited to stand with American Life League as women's advocates across the nation protest the pill outside Planned Parenthood facilities, pharmacies, and contraceptive manufacturers' facilities on Saturday, June 4. Women have a right to know the deadly effects of these pills, for their sake and the sake of their families.

This year's fourth annual protest theme is The Pill Kills Marriages. For more information visit our website, www.ThePillKills.com. Also visit our Facebook group and event pages for The Pill Kills.

Please be a cosponsor! We encourage local pro-life groups to sign on as official co-sponsors, holding protests in your local communities. Those groups who have already committed to sponsoring this year's protest include American Life League, STOPP International, STOPP of Dallas, the Catholic Pro-Life Committee of North Texas, Pro-Life Wisconsin, Philadelphia Natural Family Planning Network, and the Respect Life Committee of St. Ignatius of Antioch in Yardley, PA.

There is no charge to co-sponsor, and your group's name will appear with the many others who are standing in unity against the pill. You can contact us by emailing protests@all.org.

Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: Mother's Day billboard debuts in Wisconsin

Mary billboard

In anticipation of Mother's Day, Pro-life Wisconsin debuted this amazing billboard in multiple locations in Milwaukee and Kenosha. Billboards such as this near or en route to Planned Parenthood locations can mean the difference between life or death for so many children whose mothers are ambivalent about abortion. For those who are looking for a sign from God, here it is!
Victory: California youth group unmasks Planned Parenthood

I'm down with PP

From the website of Live Action, here is a remarkable story about how John Johnson, Youth Minister for St. Peter's in Dixon, CA, marshaled his students and sent Planned Parenthood fleeing as it aborted its mission in Dixon, California, on Holy Saturday.

"Planned Parenthood has a booth at the Street Fair." This was the text message sent to me, a youth minister, by a 13-year-old middle schooler attending the fair in our small town on Holy Saturday. After I expressed my opinion, the shocking part came: "Don't worry, John, I talked to them; these people are from the good part of Planned Parenthood. They don't do abortions. They want to help moms keep their babies!" I had to see for myself. Sure enough, there was Planned Parenthood, decked in pink, sporting a large banner that read: "We're here." Staffed by four women, they were operating a little basket toss game for the kids and handing out candy with smiles.

We live in a town with a predominant Hispanic population; I found it interesting that they stuck with the Sanger playbook - they were staffed by Hispanic women, one who even brought her child. It was clear what was happening. Our town does not have a Planned Parenthood; this was their first step in. By appearing benign, even warm and child friendly, they were marketing themselves strictly as a community woman's health organization - the word "abortion" was not to be found in their repertoire. Many families passing by had no idea what their true objective was. They were innocently letting their children take candy and helping themselves to a promotional pin.

Quickly I sent out a text message and Facebook invite to all in our youth group. "Meet in 10 minutes at street fair to protest Planned Parenthood." Seven showed up immediately; I explained what was going on; another young adult brought some quickly printed signs and within the half-hour, we had seven young people peacefully praying on the sidewalk in front of their booth with signs taped to their shirts.

The Planned Parenthood staff was not happy; they hastened to the police and accused us of harassment. Of course the police had no problems with our demonstration which had two immediate effects: 1) Since our signs simply said the word "abortion" and were next to a Planned Parenthood booth, traffic to the booth instantly stopped. There were no more visitors to their booth for the rest of the day. As soon as the booth was actually associated with their true purpose, people wanted nothing to do with them - their ruse as child-friendly community helpers was off. 2) The witness of the young people's demonstration inspired the rest of the fair's attendees.

Within an hour, our group of seven grew to about 25. People walked by and joined us in prayer. One young man made a large "honk for life" sign - passing traffic showed their support also. Organizers of the fair were approaching us and commending us for our work. We were rallied together for life.

Much earlier than the other booths at the fair, Planned Parenthood packed up and left, very perturbed. With a fake smile, they tried to give the rest of their pink shirts to some kids at the end of the block. The kids, who were newly educated by our demonstrators, immediately accused the departing Planned Parenthood reps of racism, took a marker to their shirts, crossed off "I stand," and augmented their new shirt's message: "I'M NOT DOWN with Planned Parenthood."

The fair's organizer apologized for Planned Parenthood's presence and told us that they would not be back. And I doubt they will ever try to open a clinic in our town. Prayer and the witness of the town's youth had won the day. But what would have been if we all stayed home?

What would have been if these young people had stayed home? The community would have been deceived, Planned Parenthood emboldened, and the entire community at serious risk of the encroachment of the sex-belching abortion giant. Congratulations to the young people of Dixon, CA, for building a solid wall of opposition to Planned Parenthood at the first sign of its targeting of the community. We can all take a lesson from this youth group! Please forward this story to your local youth minister and diocesan youth minister and be on the lookout for Planned Parenthood in your town.
