Baby Joseph On His Way Home to Windsor, Canada

PETERSBURG, FL, April 21, 2011/ -- The Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network wishes to express our love and support for Baby Joseph and the Maraachli family and we are very happy that Joseph is now going home. He will return home to Canada today.

Bobby Schindler, the Network's Executive Director, and Brother Paul O’Donnell, the Network's Board President, worked extensively with the Maraachli family and traveled to Canada to advocate on Joseph’s behalf. “We are dedicated to protect our disabled and sick brothers and sisters like Baby Joseph and are very happy that his parents, Moe and Sana Maraachli will now be able to care for their son at their family home,” stated Bobby Schindler. Baby Joseph was air transported to the SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, on March 13, 2011. He received a tracheotomy procedure and was weaned off a ventilator while at the St. Louis hospital. Brother Paul remained in daily communication with the Maraachli family while Joseph was in the U.S. and visited with Baby Joseph and the family during his stay at the hospital. “'This is a Victory for Life!' Joseph’s life on earth may indeed be short but when, and if he dies it will be decided by God and not by doctors or the courts,” stated Brother Paul after his recent visit with Joseph.
