Planned Parenthood director hails the heroism of her grandmother for aborting two of her babies

Laura Meyers, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Metropolitan Washington, DC, is a conflicted, confused person. She seems to mourn the fact that her mother was not able to abort or contracept away her fifth and sixth siblings, even though she gives no evidence that her mother, who suffered from gestational diabetes, had any desire to do so.

Meyers then credits as a heroine her grandmother, who "put her life on the line at a time when abortion was illegal and had two abortions, so that in her mind she could keep her family intact." Sensing a chance to mock Catholicism, she adds, "My grandmother converted to Catholicism for my grandfather. Yet, she knew she had to make a difficult decision to save her own family at a time when her family couldn't afford to feed another child. I think about the vitriolic abortion debate - I think about my grandmother."

Then after highlighting her grandmother's abortions, Meyers spins out the underlying reason for the article: "When you're talking about defunding Planned Parenthood from receiving federal dollars, you are not ever talking about abortion, because no federal dollars can ever go for abortion."

Obviously as a Planned Parenthood director of many years she undoubtedly knows, yet covers up, the fact that at the end of the day all the money Planned Parenthood gets goes into one pot and is used to pay for Planned Parenthood operational expenses like abortionist's salaries and benefits.

Deception is the hallmark of Planned Parenthood, and the goggles of deception that help protect the sanity of those who work there bend truth beyond recognition.

Please make a visit to your local Planned Parenthood facility in honor of Mother's Day, and pray for the defunding of Planned Parenthood and the conversion of all Planned Parenthood workers and promoters. Our Planned Parenthood prayer cards are available here. Visit our STOPP map room to find the location of the nearest Planned Parenthood facility.

Former Planned Parenthood director: We were serial killers of the worst kind...we killed children

Abby Johnson, pro-life activist and former director of Bryan/College Station Planned Parenthood abortion mill, bares her heart on her blog as she brings home the reality of what it means to work at Planned Parenthood:

I never had the honor of talking to Dr. Bernard Nathanson. But someone told me once that he asked Dr. Nathanson about his remorse after performing thousands of abortions. Many of us that have once been in the abortion industry are frequently criticized for our public "lack of remorse."

Dr. Nathanson explained to this man that if he actually allowed himself to feel the depth of his remorse, he wouldn't be able to live with the pain. I would say that is pretty accurate for most of us who have once lived and walked in those hallways of evil. I'm not sure my heart would take the pain if I really allowed myself to feel what I had done.

Have you ever watched one of those crime shows where they interview a prisoner who murdered someone? I recently saw one about a man who had killed a young woman. He had since become a Christian while in prison and the remorse for the life he had taken was so evident. He could hardly even talk about her. It was difficult for him to maintain his composure. Well, imagine that type of remorse times thousands and thousands. We were serial killers of the worst kind...we killed children.

Then one day, after years of living in foolishness and evil, we turn it around. We swallow our pride and admit we were wrong. We lose our friends, we are called names, we start over...but we know it is worth it. It is not easy, but it is right. We repent from our sin and we feel a sense of peace and joy that has never been in our heart before...but there is brokenness, too...and a stinging feeling of remorse that won't leave. I remember wondering if the brokenness and remorse would ever lessen. Would it ever leave? It doesn't. It is a constant reminder of who you were and what you have done. But now, I am thankful for the reminder...it keeps me focused, passionate, and most of all, praying.

You can read the rest of Abby's heart-breaking yet jubilant and inspirational story on her blog, http://www.abbyjohnson.org.

I'm right there beside you, Abby. Though I never worked at Planned Parenthood, I advocated for abortion. And the realization of my culpability in the deaths of countless innocent children is a huge force behind my drive to stay in this fight until Planned Parenthood is eliminated. God bless you, Abby. Our hearts go out to you as our prayers ascend to heaven on your behalf.

Susan Wilson accepts Planned Parenthood's Sanger award

Though not an employee of Planned Parenthood, Susan Wilson has been pushing its agenda in high places for decades. Introduced as "a woman who has lived her life for Planned Parenthood principles," NewJerseyNewsroom.com reports that Wilson accepted the Sanger Circle award recently from Planned Parenthood Association of the Mercer (New Jersey) Area.

As executive coordinator of the Network for Family Life Education at Rutgers University, she founded Sex, Etc., pushing Planned Parenthood "principles" to teens. She served on the New Jersey State Board of Education from 1977 to 1981, and is described as being "an instrumental force behind a state mandate requiring 'family life' education in all New Jersey public schools."

Referring to the fight that is raging to defund Planned Parenthood, Wilson said Sanger's opponents are "trying to reduce her many great contributions for women to a single word [abortion]. We have to help people understand that this is not a fight about abortion, but about women's rights and the freedom to make choices about their lives."

Planned Parenthood "principle pushers" like Wilson exist in high level positions throughout the nation, and are key to Planned Parenthood's successful infusion of its warped, perverse ideology into our school systems and other institutions that form our children's values system. Countering Planned Parenthood's "principle pushers" with moral constancy is essential to winning the culture war against Planned Parenthood.

It is critical that good Christian people everywhere bring their faith and morals to bear in the public square, at every level. A compartmentalized faith is a dead faith. Christians and all people of good will, rise up and defend decency and life as we continue to work and pray for the defunding of Planned Parenthood and the conversion of all who promote its ideology in the schools and the public square! Bringing Jesus to Planned Parenthood through Mary: Happy Mother's Day

May brings Mother's Day and the observance of the month of Mary in the Catholic Church. For many of us, that means May crownings honoring Mary, the greatest mother of all.

In some locales, May crownings have been brought to the sidewalk of Planned Parenthood as a way of honoring Our Lady and asking her to intercede for an end to Planned Parenthood and its never-ending assault on motherhood.

In other locales, the May crowning takes place in the Church prior to a procession to Planned Parenthood. On May 7, there will be a May crowning and procession to Planned Parenthood beginning with the 8:30 am Mass at Notre Dame Church, 7720 Boone Rd., in Houston, Texas. We encourage participation in this event and the organization of similar events that honor Our Lady and celebrate motherhood on the doorstep of Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion chain.

May this anthem ring off the walls of Planned Parenthood facilities throughout the nation this month, as a remedy to Planned Parenthood's assault on motherhood:

Bring flowers of the rarest, bring flowers of the fairest
From garden and woodland and hillside and vale;
Our full hearts are swelling, our glad voices telling
The praise of the loveliest Rose of the vale.

Refrain:

0 Mary, we crown you with blossoms today,
Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May.

Our beautiful posters featuring pictures of Mary and special prayers to Stop Planned Parenthood are available here.

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Planned Parenthood of Indiana set to lose some state and federal monies

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels says he will soon sign HEA 1210 into law. When he does, Planned Parenthood stands to lose some of its taxpayer funding. The Act provides for stripping of state funding and state administered federal funding from "any entity that performs abortions or maintains or operates a facility where abortions are performed."

Unfortunately other provisions of this bill, having nothing to do with Planned Parenthood, contain "exceptions" where the bill would not apply. Thus while American Life League supports taking funding away from Planned Parenthood, it does not support the bill.

Planned Parenthood is crying wolf, as usual, saying that the partial defunding will result in women losing vital health care services, when, in reality, no such situation exists. In fact, Governor Daniels has compiled a list of 800 Medicaid facilities where patrons of the 28 Planned Parenthood facilities affected can receive medical care. Planned Parenthood has threatened to seek an injunction if the Act is signed into law.

Unfortunately, Governor Daniels stated in a press release, "Any organization affected by this provision can resume receiving taxpayer dollars immediately by ceasing or separating its operations that perform abortions."

So, presumably, all Planned Parenthood would have to do to continue receiving funding would be to "separate" its abortion business from its other business. No details are provided as to what that separation would entail, but we know, that in Texas, Planned Parenthood has physically split its abortion business in some locales by utilizing separate facilities, or even separate hallways or rooms of the same facility. Even though the facilities may be physically separate, in some locations they share staff and expenses.

Hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers are specifically excepted from the provisions of the Indiana "Abortion Matters" Act.

Let us all work together to strip all funding permanently from Planned Parenthood. Visit our website to learn how to stop local funding. Legislative experts are available at American Life League to help you craft effective legislation in your state to defund the abortion giant. Click here for assistance with model legislation.
