Are Human Rights Just Mere Words? 

Judie BrownJesus taught us to do unto others as we would have done unto us. It doesn't seem like much to ask-to treat others kindly, with the love and respect that we would hope to get. Yet, many in today's society see no other way than to put themselves first. Everything that happens, bad or good, is about "me." Personal happiness and comfort, rather than the happiness or well-being of family, friends, or even strangers, is first and foremost. More proof Planned Parenthood doesn't need our tax dollars

This week, Crain's Chicago Business published an article highlighting three major Chicago area Planned Parenthood donors who have stepped up their contributions in response to the wave of pro-life efforts to deprive the abortion chain of state and federal funding. The piece unintentionally illustrates one of the reasons Planned Parenthood has no business demanding taxpayer funding: they have ample support from private donors.

A fundraiser that had been scheduled at a California Chili's  Restaurant on behalf of Planned Parenthood, the nation's leading player in the abortion industry, was canceled after customers raised objections.  The woman who organized the opposition says she hopes others learn how to derail similar events when they appear in their towns and cities.
Pharmacists' conscience obsolete in new bill

A pro-life pharmacist says a bill introduced in both houses of Congress that would force pharmacists to dispense controversial medication, regardless of their conscience, would impact those who object to birth control and emergency contraception.  Pharmacists for Life International (PFLI - an American Life League Associate group) opposes the bill introduced by Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-New Jersey) and Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-New York). Spokesman and pharmacist Bo Kuhar believes pharmacists' constitutional rights would be violated.
