Pro-Life Memorial Day

PLMD 590X114

On the first Monday in October, the U.S. Supreme Court begins its new term. This is a day on which pro-lifers across the nation will mourn the victims of America's hidden holocaust: abortion.

Who will hear the cries of these preborn children? Who will be their voice? Who will mourn their deaths? On October 3, thousands of Americans will be mourning the victims of abortion by gathering for prayer and candlelight vigils at the U.S. Supreme Court and abortion facilities nationwide.

[Download our flyer] and [poster] to put up in your office or parish.

If you are planning to hold a vigil, please e-mail  Rob Gasper.

Abortion, Depression, and the Impact on Later Children

After Abortion

An interesting news article recently reported that researchers at the University of Montreal found that children whose mothers struggled with depression had physical changes in their brains. While the research was not related to abortion, other studies have found that abortion is not only linked to depression in mothers, it is also linked to poor maternal-child bonding, parenting problems and behavioral problems among subsequent children.

Arizona Court Rules Against Planned Parenthood on Abortion Requirements

CNS News
In a blow to Planned Parenthood, an Arizona appeals court has lifted an injuction that blocked abortion regulations from taking effect in the state.  After hearing arguments from both sides earlier this month, the Arizona Court of Appeals on Aug. 11 overturned a Maricopa County Superior Court ruling, which found that portions of the 2009 law -- signed by Gov. Jan Brewer and challenged by Planned Parenthood of Arizona -- could cause "irreparable harm" to women.
Vital Organ Transplantation--Not Truly Dead

Renew America

The August 29, 2000 Address of Blessed John Paul II is often quoted by those in support of obtaining vital organs for transplantation, but other statements by Pope John Paul II and a more recent statement by Pope Benedict XVI are ignored.
