New HHS Mandate Rules Force Hobby Lobby, Any Religious Biz to Comply
The Obama administration released new HHS mandate rules today that attempt to expand the number of religious groups that can opt out of the pro-abortion mandate but that leaves religiously-run companies like Hobby Lobby out in the cold. Pro-life advocates oppose the mandate because it forces religious groups to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions.
Thanks to a number of decisions in court related to lawsuits filed against the mandate by dozens of religious businesses and organizations, the Obama administration is under court order to revise the mandate. But the proposed changes don t protect everyone who wants to opt out. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/new-hhs-mandate-rules-force-hobby-lobby-any-religious-biz-to-comply/
Pro-Life Groups Blast Revisions to Obama Abortion-HHS Mandate
Leading pro-life groups don t have much good to say about the proposed changes the HHS department announced today to the Obamacare mandate that forces religious groups and religiously-run companies to pay for birth control and abortion-causing drugs.
The Christian Medical Association (CMA), the nation s largest faith-based association of physicians, today called the administration s policy announcement regarding its contraceptives and sterilization mandate unacceptable, noting that the ruling still flouts the First Amendment. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/pro-life-groups-blast-revisions-to-obama-abortion-hhs-mandate/
Sandra Fluke: Opposing Birth Control Coverage Like Opposing Leukemia Coverage
A video that is getting attention in conservative and pro-life circles this afternoon has pro-life people putting their faces in their palms.
Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke is so obsessed with the government forcing religious groups to pay for her birth control and contraception that she compared opposing it in an interview this afternoon to opposing coverage for leukemia. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/sandra-fluke-opposing-birth-control-coverage-like-opposing-leukemia-coverage/
Baltimore Ravens Center Matt Birk a Dedicated Pro-Lifer
As the Baltimore Ravens prepare to play the San Francisco 49ers in this Sunday s Super Bowl, one player knows there is more to play for in life than just a football game.
Raven s veteran center Matt Birk is a longtime pro-life advocate who has a thoughtful position against abortion and a family story to share.

Experts Refuse to Join Obama Administration s IPAB Death Panel
Apparently, serving on a government death panel isn t exactly topping people s bucket lists.
This week, the Washington Post explained that ObamaCare s 15-member rationing panel has hit a bit of a snag: no one wants to join it. The Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) was one of the most controversial parts of the President s legislation mainly because it puts 15 unelected strangers in charge of health decisions for most Americans. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/experts-refuse-to-join-obama-administrations-ipab-death-panel/
Documentary Celebrates Four Late-Term Abortion Practitioners
Robert Redford s Sundance Film Festival featured a documentary celebrating four amazing abortionists who evacuate wombs in the third trimester of pregnancy. The critics in attendance loved it. The Philadelphia Inquirer boasted it drew two standing ovations one for the doctors.
Sundance attendees in Utah were greeted by police and armed sheriffs in green jumpsuits that made a show of force outside the theater. They had to have their bags searched and were inspected with handheld metal detectors. After the movie was shown, two police officers stood at the front of the auditorium as the directors and the four abortionists featured in the film answered audience questions. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/documentary-celebrates-four-late-term-abortion-practitioners/
Planned Parenthood Applauds Obama HHS Mandate Revisions
While leading pro-life groups are complaining that the proposed new revisions to the controversial HHS mandate do not go far enough in protecting the conscience rights of pro-life companies and organizations that want to opt out, Planned Parenthood is happy.
When the nation s leading abortion business applauds the Obama administration, that s confirmation the revisions to the HHS mandate do not provide adequate protection for pro-life groups that don t want to pay for birth control or abortion-causing drugs in insurance plans for their employees. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/planned-parenthood-applauds-obama-hhs-mandate-revisions/
Harper Opposes Probe of 491 Babies Left to Die After Abortions
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper opposes a call by three MPs to look into figures from a story LifeNews broke showing 491 babies have been born alive and subsequently left to die following failed abortions. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/harper-opposes-probe-of-491-babies-left-to-die-after-abortions/

Toure Didn t Thank My God for His Partner s Abortion
I just saw a video of MSNBC s Touré explaining how abortion saved him. He even thanks his god and country for abortion. His ex-girlfriend had an abortion years ago because he knew she was not the one for him, and she knew it too. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/toure-didnt-thank-my-god-for-his-wifes-abortion/
ACOG Wants Doctors to Screen for Reproductive Coercion
Is there no end to the medicalization of human problems? Now, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists wants doctors to screen women for reproductive coercion. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/acog-wants-doctors-to-screen-for-reproductive-coercion/
New York Governor Wants Law for More Late-Term Abortions
If you saw the news about New York s governor proposing that his state do even more late abortions, you were probably shocked, but maybe not surprised. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/new-york-governor-wants-law-for-more-late-term-abortions/
Pro-Life Movement is Quietly Winning the Abortion Battle
A few weeks ago Planned Parenthood started the process of distancing themselves from the term Pro-choice. I watched a seemingly benign video of the explanation for why Planned Parenthood is making this shift. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/pro-life-movement-is-quietly-winning-the-abortion-battle/
The Latest Excuse for Population Control: Terrorists
Here it is again. That nasty theory that certain populations (i.e. people of color) need to be culled at any cost, using drastic measures, is being touted on the webpages of the respected journal Foreign Policy. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/the-latest-excuse-for-population-control-terrorists/
Vermont Panel Backs Bill to Make it Third to OK Assisted Suicide
A legislative panel in Vermont unanimously approved a bill that would make the state the third in the nation to legalize assisted suicide. Although its future is uncertain, the committee ignored testimony from a packed hearing filled with opponents. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/02/01/vermont-panel-backs-bill-to-make-it-third-to-ok-assisted-suicide/
