in 2014, your
generosity made it possible for CMMB to improve the lives of more than
500,000 people—including the most vulnerable women and children—with
life-changing medicines, healthcare, sanitation, and other vital
services.

All over the world, through all cultures and
religions, people practice periods of fasting. Buddhist monks fast on
the days of the new moon and full moon. During the month of Ramadan,
Muslims take no food or water at all between sun up and sun down. Jews
fast several times a year, most importantly on Yom Kippur, the Day of
Atonement.
During the forty days of Lent, many of us will act in the same spirit
and choose to “give up” something—in part, as a reminder of those who
suffer around the world or are unable to meet their basic survival
needs.

|
As
you know, many of the people CMMB serves have so little already—no
running water, no electricity, sometimes only the most basic shelter and
inadequate access to food—that there is barely anything they could give
up for Lent or in observation of a similar practice.
You can make a difference. Your donation this Lent offers people in need the care they deserve.
Thank you for being a part
of the CMMB community bringing hope and healing to the most
disadvantaged communities. Together, we change lives.

President & CEO
