Were there to be no support in the whole history of ethical and moral thought, were there no acknowledged confirmation from medical science, were the history of legal opinion to the contrary, we would still have to conclude on the basis of God's Holy Word that the unborn child is a person in the sight of God. He is protected by the sanctity of life graciously given to each individual by the Creator, Who alone places His image upon man and grants them any right to life which they have.

Do you want to do something to end abortion? Today I invite you to become a "Priests for Life Team Member." Our ministry is for laity as well as for priests, and there are a lot of ways that each person can help our work to be more effective in ending abortion.
Some of the ways our Team Members help are to:
- Promote pro-life education by spreading the word about our radio and TV programs
- Guide people to our website to make use of its many resources
- Bring our clergy materials to their priests
- Spread the word about particular events that Priests for Life wants to promote
- Encourage people to receive my biweekly column
- Help identify people who want to donate to the work of Priests for Life
Team members will receive special notices about pro-life events and opportunities to be with me and our other priests. Please sign up today at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please also join me in a special novena in honor of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta. September 5 will be the tenth anniversary of her death! See www.PrayerCampaign.org for a special prayer to say when the novena starts on August 27. My column below talks about some of my encounters with Mother Teresa. At www.PrayerCampaign.org, you will have an opportunity to share with us how Mother Teresa impacted your own life by her teaching and example. We would love to hear from you!
On another note, I recently posted on our website the audio files for an entire training seminar on pro-life spirituality and activism! You can listen online (or download the files) at www.priestsforlife.org/audio/retreatsandseminars.htm to a total of nine substantial talks on what it means to do pro-life work, the virtues we need, and what the Church says should be the plan to end abortion.
And along with working so hard for the Culture of Life, why not schedule some restful time by coming on the Catholic Women's Cruise, January 26-31, 2008? Your hosts will be radio commentator Teresa Tomeo, Pia DeSolenni, and our own Associate Director, Janet Morana. I will be there as well to offer mass each day. Spouses are welcome to come. The cruise will leave from Miami, and the details can be found on www.ctscentral.net/catholic-womens-cruise.htm.
Let me also provide you with the upcoming schedules for our own TV shows and Radio programming:
