After 20 Years, Pro-lifers Free From Unjust Judgment

Fort Wayne, IN - Operation Rescue wishes to congratulate Bryan Brown and his associates for their recent victory over an unjust judgment issued nearly 20 years ago.

The pro-lifers, who had engaged in abortion clinic blockades known as "rescues" at the Fort Wayne Women's Health Organization in 1989 will not have to pay the abortion clinic's legal fees stemming from those actions that now total $350,000.

The litigation was brought by clinic owner Susan Hill and abortionist George Ulrich Klopfer against NorthEast Indiana Rescue. Brown was the attorney that was able to finally get the judgment reversed, having been the defendant and a non-attorney 18 years earlier.

"This was a victory that was too long in coming. We rejoice that these people are now free from this crippling judgment that was an unjust punishment for trying to peacefully save the lives of innocent babies from abortion," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.
