A new Gallup Poll, conducted May 7-10, found 51% of Americans calling themselves "pro-life" on the issue of abortion and 42% "pro-choice."

According to Gallup, this was the first time a majority of U.S. adults have identified themselves as pro-life since Gallup began asking this question in 1995.

On June 1, Focus on the Family’s Dr. James Dobson invited two Catholic priests, Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life and Father Robert Sirico of the Acton Institute in Michigan to join Pastor Jim Garlow of Skyline Wesleyan Church in La Mesa (CA) to discuss what this poll meant.

Garlow was a leader of the successful Protect Marriage (Proposition 8) campaign in the November, 2008 election.

In the opening words of the radio broadcast, Garlow described on the weekend before the November election listening to the 10,000+ Prop 8 crowd in San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium chant “End Abortion, Bring a Revival to America.”

“This convinced me that this war is still winnable,” asserted Garlow. He went on to describe the Catholic-Evangelical pro-life rally in San Diego that took place the same day in May as Obama’s appearance at Notre Dame’s commencement.
