"prayer warriors and three sidewalk counselors, intent on protecting the unborn, put up with the blazing sun"

Family Planning Associates – San Diego
Saturday August 29, 2009

Several prayer warriors and three sidewalk counselors, intent on protecting the unborn, put up with the blazing sun that eventually pushed the temperature to 101degrees

Luis, one of the counselors, spoke in Spanish with a couple in a van that stopped at the driveway. The counselor went over the history of malpractice by the abortionist, giving them a brochure that listed many of the malpractice suits. The abortion-minded woman's name began with an "E." They were grateful for the information and parked the vehicle so they could read the brochure. The parking lot was busy so we lost track of the vehicle. When we left an hour later the vehicle was gone. This may have been a turnaround but we could not confirm it.

A couple in a black SUV also stopped to speak with Luis. They took the brochure and the "Culture of Life Services" clinic information. The woman whose name started with a "B" asked if the "Culture of Life Services" clinic is associated with this "Family Planning Associates" clinic. Luis responded that they were not and that the "Culture of Life" clinic was interested in your health while this clinic is more interested in you money. They drove in to the parking lot but we could not locate their vehicle when we left so this may have been a turnaround.

Two other vehicles stopped and spoke with Luis but their passengers were seen entering the clinic.

Another counselor, Terry, stood alone, next to the driveway closest to the Pyramid, when a man who works at one of the furniture stores pulled in parked and began to verbally harass her. Since he does this every time he arrives for work, she ignored him. Angrier, this time, he began to get hostile and hurled obscene threats at her. Terry felt a demonic presence. Experience has shown Terry this usually signals a strong spiritual battle is about to take place.

Within minutes a young man, "M", came out of FPA walking directly towards Terry. Stopping him, she asked if he had just dropped his girlfriend off at the mill. He said he had and there began a discussion about FPA, the abortionist's horrific medical record, abortion consequences, his alternative (Culture of Life Family Services), etc. While receptive to the information, he felt any effort on his part to go back in the mill and get his girlfriend to come out was futile. Armed with the prayers of the public prayer warriors who came to FPA today in support, Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Holy Spirit, Terry challenged him to go back into the mill and get his girlfriend to come out using the strength of God (referring to the Cross he was wearing) as well as expressing her own belief in him. He stared at Terry for a couple of seconds contemplating and said "Okay, I will." He went in and came back out within five minutes. Again, he approached Terry and said he couldn't talk her out of it; she was determined and that he was going to get something to eat. Terry said to him, "No way! You don't have time to eat. Don't give up so fast. You have conviction and character; you know you can do this. With God's help anything is possible!" He then wanted to know a bit more about the procedures inside the mill (including whether or not there was a female doctor). Terry told him that to her knowledge, there was only one doctor and an RN and that the RN cannot perform abortions; that would be illegal. He then said, "Okay. I will try again." Before he left, Terry let him know she would pray with him and believed with God's help he could get "A" out. As he walked toward the mill, Terry repeated, "No matter what. Don't give up. Remember, God is with you! "

He went in and didn't come out for a good 20 minutes. Terry never stopped praying to the Holy Mother of God and asked her fellow sidewalk counselors (Luis and David) to join her in prayer for this couple. "M" then came out of FPA and walked to the east side of the balcony furthest from the Pyramid (Terry had now switched with David, moving to the center driveway) and watched "M" as he spoke on his cell. David, now at the driveway nearest the Pyramid, phoned Terry and told her "A" had come out of FPA, had taken the elevator downstairs and was outside crying; He said he witnessed "A" and "M" hug at some point when she came out. From where Terry now stood, all she saw was "M" walking east on the upper balcony and then sitting on the steps talking on his cell phone. Eventually, he got up, walked toward "A", stopped, held her hand and turned looking right toward her with his arms outstretched wide. Terry wasn't sure what that meant until she spoke with both of them. "M" and "A" both said "Thank you! "M" excitedly told Terry, "she didn't do it and we are going to COLFS next week."

Terry told "M", "I knew you could do it. You both should be proud of yourselves. Looking at "A," Terry said, "while I know you are scared, you made the right decision." "A" then said, "they treat you like chickens up there. It's horrible. Thank you so much." Terry hugged her and let them know she would continue to pray for them while encouraging them to be sure to contact COLFS next week. They said they would. Please continue to pray for "M" & "A" so that they continue to choose life for their pre-born baby.

Another car drove up to the exit driveway, where Terry now stood, and when she approached the car to inform the driver of the abortionist's gross record, the driver informed Terry, "We didn't do it."

Introducing herself, Terry expressed thanksgiving to them for choosing life and asked which young girl "didn't do it" and what made her change her mind. "W" was emotional and said she didn't know. Terry said "You don't have to know. God knows. You made the right decision - of this I am sure. I know you are frightened, but I have a place you can go to get competent medical help, without fear of cost, and any other help you may need" and gave them a COLFS' business card. At that, "W" seemed to brighten up and took the COLFS' card. Terry advised them to contact or walk into COLFS first thing Monday morning and not to worry about anything. Now, smiling and seemingly relieved, "W" said she would. Please pray for 'W" that she contacts COLFS and that she continues to choose life for her unborn baby.
