MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE - [U.S.A.]  (September 1st, 2010) - Persons from various nations have answered the call to participate in the September 29th - October 7th PRO-LIFE NOVENA FOR UNBORN BABIES. During this nine-day pro-life event, Masses will be offered and Rosaries will be prayed for the following intention: For the protection of unborn human persons

A selection of some of the communications received by the Saint Michael the Archangel Organization relating to the Novena reveals the following:

One or more persons from each of the following nations will participate: Canada, Mexico, Malta, South Africa, Argentina, Romania, Kuwait, Venezuela, United Arab Emirates, U.S.A., Columbia, Singapore, Germany, and New Zealand;

• At least one person has scheduled to have nine Masses offered for the unborn babies;

• A monastery of sisters will be praying 45 Rosaries during the Novena.

"I am very thankful for each person who has registered to be a participant in the PRO-LIFE NOVENA FOR UNBORN BABIES," said Patrick Benedict, President of the Saint Michael the Archangel Organization, the organization that is coordinating the Novena.

"No other group of people has ever suffered such a massacre as have the unborn babies. It has been stated that some one billion unborn babies have been surgically killed during the last 50 or so years, and this tragic number of deaths does not even include the unborn human persons who have been killed non-surgically.

"The PRO-LIFE NOVENA FOR UNBORN BABIES is a great opportunity to express one's love for the unborn babies.  I strongly urge every pro-lifer to be a part of this nine-day spiritual battle to protect the lives of the unborn babies," concluded Benedict.

A person may be a participant in the PRO-LIFE NOVENA FOR UNBORN BABIES by doing one or both of the following:

1) Schedule to have the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered on at least one of the 9 days of the Novena(Each Mass should be offered for the protection of unborn human persons);

2) Pray the Rosary on each day of the Novena(Each Rosary should be prayed for the protection of unborn human persons).

More information, including how to register, is at the website www.SaintMichaelTheArchangelOrganization.org

The first recorded Novena amongst Christians began the day after Christ's Ascension into heaven.  It was a Friday, and the ones who gathered to pray included Christ's ever-Virgin Mother and His Apostles.  After nine days, on Pentecost Sunday, the third Person of the Blessed Trinity descended upon those who had been praying.  In the 2nd chapter of The Acts of the Apostles, it is recorded: "...they were all filled with the Holy Ghost..."

Countless novenas have taken place since that Novena, and the list will soon include the September 29th - October 7th, 2010 PRO-LIFE NOVENA FOR UNBORN BABIES.
