Former Planned Parenthood Director to Expose Abortion Biz
Abby Johnson was named an employee of the year in 2008 when she was the director of a Planned Parenthood abortion business in southeast Texas, but the recent pro-life convert will tell all in a new webcast.

Launched in conjunction with her new book Unplanned, Johnson will tell the shocking, moving story of her conversion from Planned Parenthood abortion facility director in a webcast on Monday night.

Johnson s story is well-known to pro-life advocates normally a business manager who directed the financial and profit-making portion of the abortion business, she is asked to assist in an abortion that she finds revolting and ultimately persuades her to become pro-life. But she will reveal new insights into the operations of the Planned Parenthood abortion business during the webcast.

Johnson almost didn t have the opportunity to shed light on the inner workings of the company that made over $1 billion in each of the last two years and does more than one-quarter of all abortions in the United States. She fought and won a legal battle against her former employer, which sued Johnson and sought a restraining order to keep her silent about her years with the organization including time as director of the Byran, Texas facility. Obama Selects Pro-Abortion William Daley as Chief of Staff
President Barack Obama has selected a replacement for pro-abortion Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who vacated his position to run for mayor of Chicago.

Obama replaced Emanuel with another Chicago political insider who favors abortion former commerce secretary William Daley, who, along with his brother, is part of the big Democratic political machine in the Windy City.

But the decision is meeting with criticism from pro-life advocates like Thomas Peters of CatholicVote, who says Daley is another abortion advocate who divides Catholics.

The President has given Catholics an unsavory present today, on the traditional feast of the Epiphany, he said. Why unsavory? Well, for one thing, Daley believes in reprimanding bishops in his free time.

During the scandal involving Obama s appearance and receipt of an honorary degree from Notre Dame, Daley wrote a column entitled Cardinal George, you re dividing your Church criticizing the pro-life Catholic leader for speaking out against Obama s appearance and award. Full story at LifeNews.com

Forget Death Panels: Pro-Life Group Says Repeal ObamaCare Over Rationing
Never mind the controversy over the so-called death panels in the controversial ObamaCare health care law. One pro-life group says the measure should be repealed because it contains rationing elsewhere.

Although the death panels the voluntary advanced care planning that pro-life advocates have been concerned about because it could have doctors financially motivated to promote less medical care and lifesaving treatment have occupied most of the debate, the National Right to Life Committee says other provisions cause concern.

In a new letter to House members that LifeNews.com obtained, NRLC urges a yes vote on the repeal measure the House of representatives is slated to consider next week.

The abortion funding Obamacare doesn t satisfactorily prohibit is a central tenet of the pro-repeal letter. Full story at LifeNews.com

New NARAL Campaign Attacks Pro-Life Speaker John Boehner
The national pro-abortion group NARAL has launched a new campaign designed to build opposition to newly-elected pro-life Speaker John Boehner.
NARAL is urging its activists to take an oath to protect abortion as Boehner, who told Americans United for Life president Charmaine Yoest, he wants to be the most pro-life speaker in history, begins his tenure as the leader of the House of Representatives.

Nancy Keenan, president of NARAL, said in a statement that Boehner is set to the launch the fiercest attacks on abortion in decades.

Today marks the beginning of the Boehner Bait and Switch. Boehner and other like-minded politicians campaigned on limiting the role of government in our lives, yet their actions prove otherwise, she claims. They want to shrink government to be just small enough to fit inside our bedrooms and our medicine cabinets. Full story at LifeNews.com

Ted Williams Voice Reminds Us Abortion Silences Other Voices
You can just imagine a Hollywood blockbuster, with actor Will Smith in the lead, chronicling the improbable tale of Ted Williams, a radio guy turned homeless man who becomes famous beyond his wildest dreams.

Williams was discovered recently near a highway ramp in Columbus, Ohio, holding a sign advertising his God-given gift of voice, as he begged for money along the road. He s been listing his address as the streets of Columbus, but that promises to change, thanks to job offers galore after a video of him went viral. The Associated Press calls him an online video sensation. He could become a voice for the NBA s Cleveland Cavaliers and the NFL as well.

The irony is that, looking at the man, with his homemade sign and his beggar s demeanor, you would never know that he had been blessed with an incredible talent a voice tailor-made for radio. Full story at LifeNews.com

Mike Pence to Headline Pro-Life Women s Group s Event
No one can quite figure out whether pro-life Congressman Mike Pence will become a Republican candidate for president, but one pro-life group thinks he would make a good nominee.

Pence, whose schedule has seen some focus on the Indiana component to suggest he is running for governor but has others noting a South Carolina trip means a GOP presidential bid is still possible, is slated to appear at a fundraising event for the Susan B. Anthony List.

The SBA List web site indicates Pence will keynote its fundraising gala on February 16 at the Williard Hotel and his appearance follows on the heels of appearances by pro-life former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and pro-life former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin at SBA List events last year. Conservative Leaders Tell Republicans Keep Pro-Life Agenda
A group of dozens of fiscal and social conservative leaders united behind a letter to Republican leaders today urging them to hold firm on pro-life issues.

The 47 conservative activists, dubbing themselves the Conservative Action Project, issued an eight-point plan for the 112th Congress that mostly touches on fiscal and other issues, but calls on Republicans in the House and Senate to promote pro-life values.

Former attorney general under former President Reagan, Edwin Meese, Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, Eagle Forum president Phyllis Schlafly, Concerned Women for America s Penny Young Nance and Tim Goeglein of Focus on the Family are some of the pro-life advocates to sign on to the measure. Florida Bill Excludes Abortion From ObamaCare, Crist Veto Response
A new bill filed in the Florida legislature is in response to one former Governor Charlie Crist vetoed last year that would exclude abortion funding from ObamaCare.

Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Republican from Fort Walton Beach, is behind HB 97 that would ensure health insurance policies obtained through the state exchange in Florida created under the ObamaCare law are not allowed to fund abortions with taxpayer funds. States are required to create the exchanges by 2014, unless opponents of the law are successful in repealing it or getting the Supreme Court to declare it unconstitutional.

Last year, the Florida state legislature signed off on a bill that prohibited the abortion funding under ObamaCare and also allowed women a chance to see an ultrasound of their baby before a abortion. Crist vetoed the bill, mostly because of the ultrasound measure. Full story at LifeNews.com

Catholic Marquette University Hires Pro-Abortion Russ Feingold
Marquette University is finding itself on the wrong side of the pro-life debate as it has chosen to hire pro-abortion former Senator Russ Feingold. Feingold is no stranger to pro-life advocates in Wisconsin, as he racked up a strongly pro-abortion voting record and put people on the Supreme Court, as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who will continue the 53 million abortions seen under Roe v. Wade. Full story at LifeNews.com

Kentucky Committee Approves Pre-Abortion Ultrasound Bill
Women considering an abortion should be given full information, including a chance to see an ultrasound of their baby beforehand, says Kentucky legislators.

The Senate Veterans, Military Affairs and Public Protection Committee approved a bill Thursday morning allowing women a chance to see the ultrasound of their unborn child, which they are frequently not shown by an abortion center even though pre-abortion ultrasounds are routine.

The panel approved Senate Bill 9 9-3 and the full state Senate could vote on the bill as early as Friday, according to an AP report. Full story at LifeNews.com
