The Pro-Life Movement is Ecumenical

January 14, 2011

Dear Friends,

The biggest ecumenical movement in the world will take to the streets of San Francisco, Washington D.C. and hundreds of other cities across the United States later this month.

On Monday, January 24, the National Pro-Life Religious Council, along with Priests for Life and other groups, will sponsor the nation's premier pro-life service on Capitol Hill from 8:00-10:15am, The National Memorial for the Pre-Born and their Mothers and Fathers. Ministers and priests from different denominations will participate and I will deliver the homily. We are confirming the exact location in one of our Federal buildings, and will provide that detail on www.priestsforlife.org/marchforlife shortly.  At this event we will be honoring two individuals for their pro-life work, Mrs. Naomi King, mother of Dr. Alveda King and Pastor Stephen Broden of Fair Park Bible Fellowship Church. Please attend this great event and spread the word!

Women and men from many different religious backgrounds and who are part of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, will give their testimonies publicly and tell the nation how they were harmed by abortion. In San Francisco, this happens right at the conclusion of the Walk for Life. In Washington, DC, it happens at the steps of the Supreme Court as soon as the March for Life reaches that point.

Whether or not you can attend the Silent No More gatherings, please read and spread the testimonies found at www.silentnomoreawareness.org/testimonies .

The Walk for Life in San Francisco will be preceded by an Interfaith Prayer service to be held on Friday, January 21 from 8-9pm PT at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1111 Gough St., San Francisco. I will speak at this event and Georgette Forney, co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign will also participate.
