I witnessed something recently that has deeply affected my faith and my vocation as a priest.
I want to tell you that the miracles of the Black Madonna are real.
Here's what happened:
As custodian of the icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa during the North American leg of HLI’s Ocean to Ocean Campaign in Defense of Life, I brought her to the notorious LeRoy Carhart's abortion clinic in Germantown, Maryland.
You probably remember him: he performs late-term abortions and has even
killed mothers through his diabolical procedures on the abortion table.
While praying with the icon in front of his abortion center, three women changed their minds and decided to choose life!
Even one of
Carhart's workers, a woman who has always been
hostile to pro-life prayer activists -- often cursing and screaming at
them -- had a change of heart! She walked up to the pro-lifers
surrounding the icon and opened up to them. She revealed she's
post-abortive herself -- a heavy burden she has carried for too long.
There is
so much more to know about this mysterious icon, whose worldwide pilgrimage is being directed by Human Life International.
