Lovers of the law despise babiesJudie Brown

Just as a parent can tell when a child is sick, a person with a true understanding of God's laws can tell when a human law is sick. Too often, as with the decriminalization of abortion, we are not taught to think in terms of God's laws and the protection of human beings. We are taught to obey human laws and what's right and what's wrong in the eyes of those laws. But what about in God's eyes? Human laws must reflect the commandments handed down by God-and that includes the taking of the life of an innocent human being. Today's commentary focuses on the disparity between God's laws and human laws and encourages us to reach out to those who put more weight on man's laws.

Study: Contraception use up, abortions double; researchers can't figure out why
Jill Stanek
The January issue of the journal Contraception contains results of a 10-yr study "to acquire information about the use of contraceptive methods in order to reduce the number of elective abortions," reads the abstract. The results were unsurprising, "yet another example of the counter-intuitive effect of more contraception," wrote Christina at Real Choice. What was laughable was the researchers' conclusion.
Planned Parenthood feeds at 'federal trough'
One News Now
The federal government, says one pro-life activist, is nothing more than a "cash cow" for the abortion-provider Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood received a banner $363.2 million in government funding during the 2008-2009 fiscal year, its most recent annual reporting period -- a $13.6-million increase in grants and contracts over the previous fiscal year.

Life Site News
The circuit court judge who famously rebuffed the pleas of Terri Schiavo's family to save her life has retired. Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge George Greer is laying aside the judge's robe after an 18-year career, marked by one case that provoked horror from pro-life advocates nationwide and led to a slew of awards, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
