Romney to Pro-Lifers: We Will Uphold the Sanctity of Life
In an address over the weekend to the Values Voter Summit, presidential candidate Mitt Romney again pledged to promote pro-life values as president should he defeat pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

We can turn things around. And we can start this November by making a big change at the top. We need a president who shares our commitment to conservative principles and our respect for traditional values, Romney said in the speech. We will uphold the sanctity of life, not abandon it or ignore it, and we will defend marriage, not try to redefine it. We need a president who understands that we will not have a strong economy unless we have strong communities and strong families. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/romney-to-pro-lifers-we-will-uphold-the-sanctity-of-life/

Chaput on Obama: I Can t Vote for Somebody Who is Pro-Abortion
Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia laid out his views on the upcoming presidential election in stark terms in a new interview, making it clear that he can t support President Barack Obama because of his pro-abortion views and record.

I can only speak in terms of my own personal views. I certainly can t vote for somebody who s either pro-choice or pro-abortion, he said. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/chaput-on-obama-i-cant-vote-for-somebody-who-is-pro-abortion/

Justin Bieber s Mom Explains Why She Rejected an Abortion
Last year, Justin Bieber made waves around the world for proclaiming himself pro-life. But a new interview his mom gave to the Today show s Kathie Lee Gifford provides an extraordinarily background as to why Bieber may oppose abortion his mom chose life.

Justin Bieber s mother, Pattie Mallette, explained to Today, in an interview that will air this week, about the sexual abuse she suffered before becoming pregnant and how she was determined to make it through a difficult pregnancy situation and give birth to Bieber. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/justin-biebers-mom-explains-why-she-rejected-an-abortion/

Hobby Lobby Faces Liberal Boycott After Suing Over HHS Mandate
The Christian crafting store company Hobby Lobby drew praise from pro-life advocates last week for filing a lawsuit against the Obama administration over its HHS mandate that forces religious employers to pay heavy fines for not funding abortion-causing drugs and birth control for employees.

Now, a new report indicates liberals are organizing a boycott of the company in response, making wild-eyed claims that Hobby Lobby somehow wants to deny basic health care or even cancer treatments for women. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/hobby-lobby-faces-liberal-boycott-after-suing-over-hhs-mandate/

Planned Parenthood Botches Abortion, Leaves Woman Infertile
A Planned Parenthood clinic in Birmingham, Alabama faces a lawsuit for negligence for a botched abortion that left a woman unable to have children.

Roberta Clark walked into the Birmingham Planned Parenthood on August 20, 2010, for what she thought would be a routine first-trimester abortion. An ultrasound exam was conducted by an unlicensed, untrained worker indicated Clark was 8 weeks, 4 days pregnant with an intrauterine pregnancy, even though she was later to be found not pregnant at all. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/planned-parenthood-botches-abortion-leaves-woman-infertile/

Lila Rose: Woman Planned Parenthood Killed is Real War on Women
Want to know the real face of the so-called War on Women? Leading pro-life activist Lila Rose told the audience at the Values Voter Summit over the weekend that it s not Sandra Fluke, but Tonya Reaves who died in a botched abortion at Planned Parenthood.

Tonya is the real face of the war on women women who have been lied to by powerful interests with powerful population control ideologies who are telling us women that abortion will liberate us, that abortion will solve our problems, Rose said. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/lila-rose-woman-planned-parenthood-killed-is-real-war-on-women/

Chinese Government Has Not Banned Forced Abortions, Despite Reports
On September 13, All Girls Allowed (AGA) sent out a press release with the bold title, Chinese Government Bans Forced Abortion. We wish we could agree with our colleagues at AGA. Unfortunately, this time, we cannot.

AGA s claim that the Chinese Government issued a document to Family Planning offices that bans forced abortion and sterilization is based on links to two Chinese documents and a call to a family planning official in Chonqing City. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/09/17/chinese-government-has-not-banned-forced-abortions-despite-reports/
