Lifeissues Newsletter #625 clear thinking about crucial issues
Dear Friends for Life,

Planned Parenthood coercion of minority teens on the rise! Planned Parenthood has developed and/or replicated multiple programs that rely on coercion, in the form of cash payments and other incentives, to lure teens to participate in its anything-goes sex indoctrination programs and research. The programs blatantly target minority students and are being funded with taxpayer dollars.

Planned Parenthood's latest foray into coercion is surfacing in Florida, where African American teens as young as 14 are paid cash incentives to attend its SIHLE "empowerment" programs. SIHLE is an acronym for Sistas Informing, Healing, Living, and Empowering. In addition to cash, there is music, partying, chatting, and the opportunity to belong to a "family." To be a part of the family, though, teens must live in targeted zip codes referenced on the website-zip codes 32808, 32811, 32818, 32835 and 32839.

Lurking in the shadows: Planned Parenthood 'rights' destroy society It should come as no surprise to anyone that there now arises a cry for contraception and other "sexual rights" to be recognized, provided, and enforced as basic human rights. Today's orchestrated efforts by International Planned Parenthood Federation, the United Nations Population Fund, and their many allies to proclaim and enforce "sexual rights" as basic human rights is a continuation of an ongoing plan to restructure the family that emerged almost a century ago.

(Post-Abortion): "From Death to Life: One post-abortive father's testimony"Here is the script and audio recording of one father's experience of abortion and healing. This talk was given in London recently at a 40 Days for life event. Many thanks to the father for providing the text of his talk, and to Robert Colquhoun who provided the recording.

ITEM #1: "Are You Done Yet?" In Defense of our 5th Child

Critics of large families mention the burden that our children will be on society and the Earth. We hear about the health care costs our children will generate and the size of our family carbon footprint. Others simply express concern for my husband and me, that we will be too tired, have financial stress, or not have enough time for each other. Here's my question: why can't we look at children as future contributors to society, not burdens on society? My children are the best gift I have for society.

ITEM #2: "Is it a baby?" Clinic workers respond

Carol Everett, former owner of two abortion clinics and administrator of four, said that: "Every woman has these same two questions: First, 'Is it a baby?' 'No' the counselor assures her. 'It is a product of conception (or a blood clot, or a piece of tissue)'.

ITEM #3:  "I know because I had one"

Some people may look at me as hypocritical because I am pro-life. This is because on the day I turned 19, I had an abortion. I was about five weeks along when I took the RU486 pill. I was a young, naive girl who thought partying and fooling around had no consequences - much like many teens believe. I was in my freshman year of college at an out-of-state university which my parents were paying big bucks for me to attend.

ITEM #4: Homosexual Marriage: We Have Sown The Wind, And Now Reap The Whirlwind.

Homosexual Marriage Is The Logical Conclusion For A Culture That Celebrates Sterility! Widespread Acceptance of the Homosexual Lifestyle Is God's Punishment for Sin! There is, among faithful Catholics, a dismay, and even an understandable anger at the events unfolding at the Supreme Court these past days related to gay unions. And even if the court were to uphold traditional marriage (which does not seem likely), or merely return the matter to the States, it seems quite clear where our culture is going regarding this matter, approving things once, not so long ago, considered unthinkable.

ITEM #5: The "Morning After Pill" and other types of "Emergency Contraception" Myths and Realities

If you are single, the surest way to avoid pregnancy or a sexually transmitted infection is abstinence, and it always works. If you are married, the modern methods of Natural Family Planning (NFP) are the safest, healthiest, and least expensive means for family planning. Victims of rape or sexual abuse need and deserve the best medical care and human support possible. The additional stress and health risks of emergency contraception add further harm. Pregnancy due to rape is estimated at 5.0%.21 For the vast majority of these women, emergency contraceptives impose significant health risks with no benefit.
ITEM #6: The secret superdads: More than a dozen UK sperm donors have fathered 20 or more children EACH
A prolific pool of 500 British sperm donors is responsible for fathering more than 6,000 children, new fertility figures have revealed.

ITEM #7 Miracle baby defies odds
I am a firm believer that every baby is a miracle. However, there are those who meet substantial challenges very early in life -- for some even before they're born. Many parents are pressured to abort a life that's less than "ideal." That's how the inspirational story of Mylah Perkins begins.

ITEM #8: Capital punishment for disabled babies
It's never easy for parents to find out that the unborn child they are carrying has been diagnosed with a disability. It raises innumerable questions. Unfortunately, all too often the medical professional who is addressing their concerns is pro-abortion. For example, the grave statistics for babies with a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome are that 90% will be aborted.

ITEM #9: When in Doubt, Choose Life

It seems the infamous issue of emergency contraception (hereafter as EC) and rape victims is back in the news. In Germany, it was recently announced that Catholic hospitals would allow the "morning-after pill" to be given to victims of sexual assault. LifeSiteNews and other news sources have reported on the particulars of the situation. Our purpose here is not to repeat the news reports and analysis, but to consider some of the medical/moral questions that are often asked when the issue of administering "emergency contraception" to rape victims arises.

ITEM #10: The British Embryo Authority and the Chamber of Eugenics

Scene: A laboratory setting. A scientist begins constructing a new individual by combining parts from two different humans. A new part from one or two additional people is then added. At some point, an electric shock is administered. The scientist observes the composite for a few moments, looking for signs that it is on its way to becoming an autonomous being. It stirs. It's alive.
ITEM #11: How Internet Pornographers Market To Men vs. Women
Internet pornographers are some of the most cunning, degenerate marketers and salespeople in the entire world-physical or virtual. They know their craft and have devised laser-focus techniques to capture each of those markets. Based on the structure of the male brain, how do Internet pornographers market to men and teenage boys?
**************************************** ITEM #12: The uncomfortable truth of failed abortions
The abortion industry doesn't like it when women are told what they're carrying during a pregnancy. They avoid the word "baby" at any cost. At best, they'll use the word "fetus." But often used are dehumanizing phrases such as "clump of tissue" or "product of conception," used specifically to mask the fact that the mother will be killing her child. Giving false medical information is another common tactic. And it's all designed to rob the unborn baby of his or her inherent humanity.
