Praying for Life Year-Round: September 2015

Praying for Life Year-Round
September 2015

May Pope Francis' U.S. visit strengthen in this country and all nations respect for each person's God-given dignity.

Our Father, 3 Hail Marys, Glory Be
Our nation is about to witness a historic visit from our Holy Father, Pope Francis. His spirit is one of charity and love for all people. Let us pray that, like Christ, we can love and serve others with gratitude and humility. May the Holy Father's visit help us to see Christ in each person and strengthen the world's love and respect for every person.

Acts of Reparation (choose one)
  • Today, take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator.

  • On September 22nd, the day of Pope Francis' arrival in the United States, offer a rosary for him and for all those who will be in his presence.
  • Join a virtual pilgrimage with prayers for each stop of Pope Francis' journey while in the U.S.
One Step Further

"Our son Charlie* was born with Down syndrome in 2007. My training as a developmental psychologist had focused on the deficits faced by people with disabilities and how to deal with those challenges. But I soon found that it was of limited use for understanding my own son. He certainly has challenges that come with his diagnosis, but they make up only a small part of life with our wonderful little boy..."

Take a moment to read this story about Charlie*, a perfect gift.
