Carl Anderson, Supreme Knight explains why K of C defends the Family [Video]

Knights of Columbus defend the family

In keeping with the recent World Meeting of Families held in Mexico City in January 2009, the struggle to defend the family is a top priority for the Knights of Columbus, the largest fraternal organization of Catholic service in the world. Carl Anderson, Supreme Knight explains the reasons for this.

"Christian families around the world, Catholic families around the world, are witnessing to the power of the Faith and of the experience of Jesus Christ in their lives. The Knights of Columbus is founded in the principles of charity and unity and witnessing to the power of the Gospel in their own lives, in lives of their families and in their communities. And so this is a wonderful opportunity for families from around the world to make this witness and to show that not only is Christian families well but there are millions who are willing to defend the family, to promote it and to show their neighbors that there is joy and hope and love very much alive in Catholic families today."

Today the Knights of Columbus have over 1.7 million members worldwide.
