Some theologians have even defended the abortion. Pitting mainstream theologians against a Catholic bishop and his authority is a dangerous game. While some have massaged their language to defend an action which Olmsted found, after careful scrutiny, to be in error, some still ask, "Whom should we believe?"

Killing the Holy Innocents: Governments that fund abortion are the new Herods
Catholic Online
Every child killed by voluntary abortion is a "Holy Innocent". Every politician who supports this killing, implicitly or explicitly, carries on the evil actions of Herod. On this Feast of the Holy Innocents let us summon a new resolve to bring an end to the slaughter of the holy innocents in this hour. It's time to end the funding of Planned Parenthood and the slaughter of the Holy Innocents.
Jerome Lejeune: A true scientist
New York Encounter
Clara Gaymard, the daughter of the late Dr. Jerome Lejeune and author of Life is a Blessing (Lejeune's biography), will speak about her father at the "New York Encounter" on Saturday January 15, 2011. Gaymard's presentation is scheduled for 3:15 pm at the Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom (311 W. 34th @ 8th Ave in New York City) and is a unique opportunity to learn about Dr. Lejeune's life, scientific work, and discoveries; how he lived the unity between his faith and his passion for science; what it meant for him to witness his faith in a challenging, sometimes hostile, environment; and his friendship with Pope John Paul II.
Adult fat cell-derived stem cells useful in tissue reconstruction
Rx PG News

Adipose-derived stem cells maintain their "stemness" and could be useful for cell-based therapies. A team of researchers from several institutions in Italy isolated and characterized adult fat cell-derived stem cells from patients undergoing lipoaspiration (surgical removal of fat deposits) in order to investigate the ability of the fat cells to maintain their stem cell characteristics in in vitro cultures to the point where once transplanted they could aid in tissue regeneration.
